someone asked if anyone had talked to asda about apg being over the limit

so been on the phone to asda head office about being told over the limit on apg on the 2nd . on an account that i use for shops aimed at supermarkets we dont have round here, not a glitchy account and was told it was because the shop was from june and it is the date you do the shop that counts not when you claim.. not sure if this is entirely true but thought I would pass it on xxx
  • I'd suggest it's now a rolling month that's being used ?

Another change seems to be voucher issuing times/dates. I requested APG vouchers yesterday morning and have received them this morning.

    What a load of baloney!

    8. Each household can only claim a maximum of 10 vouchers per calendar month, or a maximum value of £100 in vouchers per calendar month. If a voucher takes the amount you have received in a calendar month to more than £100, you will only receive an amount which takes you to £100.

I read that as date of claim not shop, I think they just wanted to fob you off!

Though wouldn't be the first part of the T&Cs to be incorrect

Hi all, just wanting to c if any1 can help plz not food shopping related, am going to order a new bathroom suite today, have got a reasonable price from local firm. question is dh would like a vanity unit for the sink, i think normal pedestal sink. can see dh point of storage. I'm worried having 3y, 6y & 10y that it will get wrecked with water or them climbing on it. does any1 have a vanity unit opions plz. need to order today.

I don't see that they would climb on it - do they normally climb into the sink?

I find the storage useful for spare towels, loo roll and soap.

Thank you, unfortunately I have none of these locally. Tsco is too expensive as well. I may have to pass.

May be worth checking market stalls or other shops that sell discount food too if available in your area - they will be effectively jobbing out all this stock now as the expiry date is so close (for the packets of crisps and the competition/offer).

Hi all, don't know if this has been reported already as I am hundreds of posts behind, but didn't want anyone else to get caught out:

I think the new apg system does not work out the £100 per month limit the way old one did.

i.e. it used to be per calendar month, so you could claim 100 of vouchers in last week of feb and then 100 in first week of march and be fine, because they were different months.

But now, I claimed £32.78 of vouchers on 18th June (arrived on 23rd), and tried to claim £45.28 and 48.79 today (3rd July). The first was fine, but the second said I had gone over the 100 limit, and would only get £21.94 (i.e. I lose 26.85 :( ).

If it worked by calendar month 45.28+48.79 = 94.07 which is less than 100, but if it uses the last one from june 32.78+45.28+48.79 = 126.85.

But it can't be a 'rolling' calendar month either, because I had other vouchers in mid June that were claimed and don't seem to be in the calculation??

Anyway, I'm very confused so please feel free to point out if my maths is wrong or I've missed something obvious!

Climbing into sink with just a pedestal might be difficult. Do they climb onto kitchen cabinets? If they don't you should be OK. If they do then:eek:
