:rotfl: you can blame us both now

2 weeks lucky you, have a lovely time...as it's our first venture out of the UK with the monkeys we decided to go all inclusive.... So now I need to loose weight so I return weighing the same as I am now;) if that makes sence :rotfl:

I need to find a list of what can and can't go in hand luggage, it's been that long all the rules have changed now:)

we go with just hand luggage for 2 weeks:eek:- but we have a washer in the apartment and they supply beach towels, but check your hotel as it may offer a beach towel service, pay a deposit and they supply the towels return the towels deposit refunded. Basically liquids and sharp things not to go in hand luggage, but after you get through security you can the buy drinks etc and they can go on the plane with you. Check with your airline as to weight, ryanair now allow a small bag as well as your 10kg, whereas easy jet states as long as you can carry your bag and its the right size it can go with you.:)
pm me if you need any help/advice

Referring back to what several people have said, why are the summer hols starting so early - I know my gang had to struggle onwards until the 3rd week in July - the scout week away was always scheduled for the last week in July.

Do they have longer than 6 week off now or do they go back very late August or very early September now?

IIRC Scotland (possibly Northern Ireland too?) finish end June/early July but go back in the middle of August - others do not have half terms or long Christmas/Easter breaks and add on to the summer. I think most schools in England finish around 17th July (or at some point the week after). As August Bank holiday is 31st August this year, it is the correction year - some schools are going back during bank holiday week, others do not go back until Monday 8th September.

Majorca... But not one of the super busy places ;)

I'm not going to put exactly where if you don't mind :)for the same reason I'm not allowing myself to look on trip advisor... There's always someone with a bad experience of places/people and I'm determined that after the carp 2 years Mr Monkey has had that this will be the best holiday we've all had as a family and create everlasting memories for the monkeys ;):)

I've even bought myself a pair of shorts today... :)

    Good for you :)
We went to Sallot( sp ?) in Majorca for our 1st family holiday abroad. My friend is a travel agent and she booked us to there as she said it was lovely and quite for us. We had a fab time in the pool, at the beach in front of the hotel, snorkelling round nearby rocks and just mooching about. Think we had a trip and there was some things for the kids to do on a night time. Hope you enjoy xx

You could have used your voucher to get another multi pack of crisps or other Walkers snacks (big bag Doritos etc). That should soften the blow (and 10p back on CoS on Walkers at the moment too ;)).

mine finished today ...and return 1st Sept...

I think certainly in our area they seem to be having longer summer holidays and shorter ones elsewhere in the year...christmas seems very short this year as its back to school on the 4th Jan

looking at the calendar that's a full 8 - or is it 9 weeks

I don't think I could have coped if mine were off that long

I got walkers wotsits multibag from Morribobs yesterday for £1 - it seemed better value than buying a single pack - might even be good and put them in the food bank bag out of temptations way

    a question pretty please

If you are abroad and an app on your iphone needs updating can you still do it ?

Youngest son has wi fi in the staff room so he can get online but he is not in the UK.
On Nationwide website today I noticed a message which says everyone with the app will need to update from 03/07 or be unable to use their app

a bit annoying, not much notice
