Oh no......I have just read back. Please don't go people. Some of the nicest posters on the thread are leaving and the rot is going to set in. Someones work here is done is it not??? I can't believe somebody can be a serial post reporter and get away with it! Is this a solution? I don't know but it is a thought.........
As FC has said, the forum moderators can't actually police every forum and follow patterns of reporting etc. BUT (please don't shoot me down in flames) can we not elect a trusted member of each forum to actually be a representative and then that person can be informed by the forum moderators if a post has been reported and then he/she can pick up on a pattern of reporting, or decide whether a post is distasteful?
As I have said in the past, I am not technically minded and don't know what can and can't be done but there is plenty of people on here that can be trusted.....
It works purely on numbers, I dont know what the numbers are, but I suspect something like 5 reports of a post will get it looked at (in total isolation), anything that might be construed as offensive/objectionable/unpleasant will be acted on, and a mark put on the poster, too many marks = a two week PPR, do it again =sine die.0 -

But......
Banana-babe:A I will miss you loads should you leave us:o I can only hope you reconsider or keep my fingers crossed that we see you again soon with the odd update on how you are doing.
I am acutely aware of who isn't here and miss them greatly.....it's a week since I've bought anything through HDUK David :rotfl: no seriously ....I miss you:lovethoug:lovethoug
I've even missed DM:o:rotfl:
I also understand how addictive this place can be.....and how we all need time away from the place to return refreshed. We should make it compulsory to have 5 weeks annual leave:rotfl: it's also been heartwarming to see some people posting more just to keep the thread going....josie ann:A and many more ......adding interesting little snippets and bits of news.
I still see compassion by the bucketload interspersed with Walkers crisps updates:rotfl: I was around the night FC very first posted needing some urgent elite support. I know in my heart that the response would be the same today....those around would rally ......it's just there maybe isn't as many people around at the minute for various reasons.
Lovely to see you FC.....with one of your stories too:T
Haven't a clue what we can do about this reporting problem:o You know.......it may be that it isn't even anyone on this thread.....could be someone who has left. It could be only one person.
At its very best this place can be hilariously funny. It has provided me with many a light bulb moment and life enriching tale or two...... I feel blessed to be a part of it and long may it continue.I am going to raise one of nanny's cuppas to it's future:beer:
Good Morning
You always seem to find the right words TM.You have been doing more than your fair share of keeping this thread going:T:T:T0 -
