    Morning folks

Nice to read back and see our lovely David dot and FC posting again, but I was saddened to see what was being posted :( , well apart from FC's shop story :rotfl:

Anonymous reporting is nothing less than COWARDLY. Grow a pair and send a PM or post asking any poster to amend or delete a post instead of being a coward. *insert four letter word beginning with T, ending in T and with a W and A in the middle*

I was even more saddened to see that BB doesn't feel as though she can be here :( I hope that she'll be back very soon :)

I do not seem to have posted this but if I have its cos I am so impressed with my new boss/company

I have been there 5 weeks and have been tidying out files/cupboards with obsolete stuff from last century

No idea how the last two "girls" filled their day. I asked the boss if he really though thought the job warranted full He asked if i need help as he did not want me overwhelmed by work. I declined saying after next month I need more work or less hours, preferably less hours

Next week a lady retires after 40 service The company pays for her to take about 20 close colleagues out for dinner They also have a fantastic present lined up

Dh got £100 and a logo tie :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: after 30 years when he was made redundant

Good morning all, cloudy here but still warm :D

Had a very quick read back then realised there was too much to read, so forgive me if I miss anything.

Also there was a news item a while back which said to board a plane everyone had to have a fully charged mobile which would be checked and you would be asked to switch it on?
    Has this come into place?

There was a big song and dance about the delays it would cause to flights

I know most modern phones hold their charge for days now - I can only get a day out of mine if I am using it heavily - ie amusing myself while in a very long queue :)

I think this might be a slight Chinese whispers style misunderstanding.

From what I recall, you need to make sure your phone/tablet/laptop have enough power to enable them to be turned on so that they can check they are what they are and that they are not full of some form of explosive.

Avatar confusion. I seem to notice the avatar more than the name as I catch up. Saw TrulyMadly's red heart and thought it had been rainbowed, then realised it is Tinyshoes with a similar pattern but in colours.

Kettle on again Tiny ...you are right about the old pump not being able to cope with the efficiency of the new boiler the water has never been so hot :eek:Felt a bit sad when the old pump got taken out as my DH fitted it 8 weeks before he died and it was such a struggle for him to do:A bless

    Good morning all
Warm here today but the sky is looking a bit overcast, could be rain later I fear but considering we are heading for a heatwave (apparently) this is not a bad thing.
I haven't read back yet, but I will try at some stage as missed yesterday completely and half of Friday.
Did a 200 mile round trip to see my mum yesterday, so didn't get a chance to post. Hope everybody is ok.
Just a quick note for tweets.....I went into Asdas, found the Toblerone (£3) picked one up, looked at it, felt the weight of it (love Toblerone) but I felt this little nagging birdie on my shoulder telling me not to buy :D and that I would regret it so, reluctantly, I put it back on the shelf and walked away
    See you all later....x

  • Morning all

Not had the best weekend. I blacked out on Friday night and ended up in A&E  :o So missed another day at work yesterday as I didn't get home until the early hours. Spent the day feeling sorry for myself and nursing a rather large egg shaped bump on my forehead. Not a good look it has to be said! Still feeling pretty wiped out but back to work today, can't miss any more days.

Hope everyone is well, haven't really had a chance to read back, but will attempt a bit of a catch up later to see what's been going on :)

    for now
