Sorry to hear your news logie. It is hard, even when you've known it was coming.
I seem to have a lot of people on ignore at the moment. Seem to be missing one or two less than wonderful comments until people quote them, can't say I'm disappointed though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I will bubbs, I will have to ask you all to watch out for me Thursday evening and send me to bed.
It was over £100 for train ticket home one way. She hasn't got a student rail card at the moment and don't think with exams enough time to organise one.
She is so stressed this year.
I meant to ask Nikkilala earlier how Master Lala was doing.
If you google under 25 rail pass you get the website and you can apply online - all you need is the numbers from her passport. It costs £30 a year but if you get one just riot to their 24 th then you van get a 3 year one for £60.
There are various perks - free 2 months membership to the Gourmet club (like a Tastecard) and YHA membership for £1.
I finally nagged eldest son into getting his Forces rail card this week - he has been back in the Uk since January so its only taken 6 months of nagging
so now I've started nagging him to get his Gf to get a rail pass - all sorts of places they can go to on the train if they both have passes“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Good Morning all.
Had some " fun " in Home Bargains yesterday. As we haven t got a Jack Fulton s here I thought I'd try somewhere else. Well I saw the said crisps in HB for 15p a pack.
Thought the best deal would be a box for £7.20  not £2.99 but oh no no boxes. So I piled 48 in a basket and got some interesting looks shall we say and went to pay for them.
Only managed 3 winners but still it covered my costs and £4.80 profit plus loads of crisps. Now I don't eat crisps much but will soon go divided between my 3 kids and hubby.
Funny thing is I'm tempted to do it again lol, the things we do for a few pounds lol. These captcha s are a damn nuisance though.0 -

Freecycle - there is always someone wanting a box of crockery.
I am thinking how nice it would be to get 6 matching mugs from Home Bargain and then put every other mug in the house into boxes to freecycle
I love all my mismatched mugs - each one brings back memories of when and where I acquired it0 -

As to what has been happening at the channel tunnel, nearly 10 years ago OH had to get an emergency passport.
He went down to Kent - very long way from us, no Internet, no work mobiles then ...
He was second manning, riding alongside the train drivers going in and out of the tunnels, the trains were being jumped on by the migrants, the drivers understandably were very nervous, situation out of their control ..
Things have not changed much, got worse in fact ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Came home from the hairdressers yesterday knac..ed and spent most of the afternoon on the sofa - still feel urgggg this morning - possibly I am fighting some nastiness off - 2 loo visits this morning, unusual.
Could be physical or mental or a combination of the 2
But I am going to crack on this morning, try to have a productive day - garden, freecycle, food bank bags etc - force myself put of this misery starting with a nice breakfast smoothie“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
