Is there a lot of metal to be got rid of mhoc? If so it might be worth taking to your local scrap metal dealer. Knowing he could get some cash might persuade your OH? FIL cleared out his shed last summer and got about £85 for the junk metal he had in there :)

    Good afternoon Elite

    :hello:

Flying visit as just want to say hello and hugs to those in need x

Have had a quiet few days away and didn't want to post for one reason but I've missed you guys so I'm back.
Need to unpack and get wash on then have a nap as didn't sleep well last night (again).

My 'Vera' flowers every year and has done for the past 5 years. I bought it in Lidl, very small but over the years DH has re-potted it until it's now in a massive pot in the conservatory.
We think it started to flower after he dropped it and maybe caused trauma and made it start flowering.
Mine ends up with a trident shaped top with lots of flowers on it. They seem to grow by inches over night.
I have posted a picture or two over the years on here but wouldn't know how to find them :rotfl:

From your neighbour in Suffolk  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Edit: sure I've read somewhere that it is rare that these flower in UK

Yes that is it, grows really quickly, it has never happened before. I am like the kiss of death to most indoor plants normally. I got a 'baby' from my mums plant, for burns mainly, as I am a bit accident prone with the oven. I have always kept it in the same place on the window sill but I think, according to what I read on google, it has had more than its' fair share of sunlight and this is what has done it. I have been reading the first page of the thread re: photo bucket, got a pic on there but I am not confident enough to try and get it on here in case I mess the thread up. I have uploaded a pic here once before, god alone knows how.....
You live in a lovely part of the country too, we are very lucky neighbour.....

Yes it was a C&C. I am not sure about the Dove instore. It was a missing multibuy on a.com, that was being talked about last night. Did the order just before midnight and put them in to try.

Yes I think there is somewhere close by as OH says he is "going to take it to be weighed in" - that's not happened either - I don't think its high value scrap - mostly storage heater covers, parts of swing etc

I seem to think there also used to be a scrap man that went around an estate close to us but like the council tip men I am also scared of the scrap metal chaps :rotfl:

but now I've got the house looking a bit tidier before the visitor arrives I think I am going to go and shuffle stuff around outside to see if I can make it any better looking.

There is also a set of wheels - possibly a car we had over 25 years ago - no idea why OH is keeping these.
And the 5 litre bottles of waste oil - no idea what you do this this - OH wont even think of putting it in the car.

just as, go ahead and post your pic, thread should be ok :) I'm on iPad and don't have my pics on here, they're on laptop. When the flower dies off they look so scruffy :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have you googled aloe Vera pics, you will see flower on there
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
