I worked from 8-4 today and then from 5-10 this evening

I have been typing a load of stuff from my old department and it has made me feel sad that I'm not there any more and a little bit smug in a way because if I'd still been there, they wouldn't have had to outsource their work to me.

But the more of their work I do, the more I get paid, the more money gets put away from my hols :D

I'm gonna do a half day at the day job tomorrow because I know full well which of the two is more lucrative

    So good night folks :)

Unfortunately so  thankfully he is a good lad who takes everything in his stride and has a fantastic attitude to things, he is now having to re plan his future in the space of a few weeks as his back up plan is no longer possible either and has to be in education or apprenticeship till there 18 now

Sorry to hear that and glad he has took it in his stride :)

How hard has your lad been training?

When my eldest son was going through his army medicals they also picked up what they thought was a murmur and he was referred to a hospital in Birmingham.
There was nothing to worry about - it had been in training getting himself fit enough for selection and over a very long period as it took forever to go through all of the stages - apparently its quite common to have these murmurs in this situation.
After the trip to Birmingham which was within a week he was passed fit.
He has had other medicals since before postings and during PTS with no issues and still trains
If they have deferred him it might be different but don't panic yet.

Thanks mhoc, this is what we were hoping it was but unfortunately not, he saw a specialist last week and they said if you were looking at his ECG and went out to find the patient it belonged to you certainly wouldn't be looking for my son. He is now awaiting further tests and treatment

I found this link http://www.terracycle.co.uk/en-UK/brigades.html and am thinking of using them to get rid of a dead laptop which was on its way to the tip. You might be able to send the wrappers there -- they pay the postage. Does anyone have any experience of this website please?

We are registered with Terracycle at school. The stuff we recycle earns points which can be converted to money if you donate to a charity. We use the school 'friends' account, and have earned enough for some educational trips. Though not as good as it was. They have suspended a lot of the brigades.
