    Today, I have:
    • Checked Noddle - rating 1 out of 5 due to the amount of unsecured debt I have as a proportion of limits :( all accounts are up-to-date with good records, I clearly just need to get the totals down
    • Checked online banking - as per my comment below
    • Checked eBay selling - no further movement as yet
    • NSD #2 in June (may actually be more, but I only started counting yesterday!) :)
    • Checked FPL - never won anything yet, but there's always hope!
    • Rummaged through Old Style boards for cheap food inspiration
    • Tidy the heap of stuff next to the sofa, which I'm currently living on due to the broken bit
Trying to think what else I can sell to make some pennies...

These slow middle-of-the-month days are tough, aren't they?

I don't like middle month days either but it sounds like you are doing well though.

    So far today:
    • 3 items have sold on eBay for £7.53, just waiting for payment so I can pay direct to CC :)
    • Checked online banking, transferred £30 from Joint Acc :o so I don't go over my OD limit
    • Planning another NSD - will update later :)
Got more marking to keep me busy, and planning to list 3 more eBay items later on so I don't end up paying fees to open the listing later in the day.

Hmm just been finding out about Forever Living for animals, which is of interested as I have a horse & a dog. The lady I contacted on FB sent me an interesting YouTube clip all about the products & business opportunity. I don't think I'm convinced it's a good idea though - I'd have to spend £200 (which I clearly don't have right now) for a start-up retailer pack & as a scientist, I can't quite believe the products are the cure-all which they put across (even though they don't exactly say that, it's definitely the impression I got). I've used a couple of the FL products & they're lovely & have done a good job, I'm just not sure I want to go back into my sales-persona again...

I think my gut feeling is to not do it... Yep, think I'm going to follow my gut on this one :)

Hi Alchemilla! Nice to hear form a fellow equestrian! I'm sure you understand the addiction/obsession...

A strange couple of days here - I spent £10 yesterday on lunch with DH, just to get me out of the house, and then another £8 today when we took out 80 yr old neighbour out for sunday lunch, just to get her out of the house! Unfortunate spends, but I think worth it :-)

Just waiting on 3 selling items which finish in the next few minutes - they won't yield much, but it all counts.

I think I need a new list for tomorrow:
    • List 3 new things on ebay
    • check online banking
    • NSD
    • Get up-to-date with all marking
    • Find info for 2 PPI claims for old CC accounts I held - not sure if these will generate anything, but it has to be worth a try
I've got an idea for a 'block budget', which I might try to put together. Basically, I can divide my monthly commitments into a few major areas:
    1. Mortgage contribution (DH & I pay half each) - £450
    2. Debt repayments - £800
    3. Horse expenses - £450
    4. Petrol - £250
    5. Xmas - £50
    6. Misc bills - £100
    = £2100

So my idea is to organise my salary as soon as it goes in to each of these virtual pots (I already have 3 current accounts that I can use). I never seem to be in the position to have money put aside for stuff like car servicing, etc., so if I can put a sensible amount into each pot, then it's there for me to use for the right purpose when necessary. Apologies, this is probably really obvious to you all, but I have to get things straight in my little head! The totals above pretty much equal my take-home pay of £2084.

This is my design... it may take some honing...

All extra debt payments will for the time being have to come from eBay/FB sales until I'm back on my feet & can get out teaching again (on top of my FT job)

    ONWARDS! :)

Uurrgh, just had to spend £7.49 on packaging for my eBay selling mission :( wiping out the £5.28 profit from the last 3 items.

Tonight's sales should be just over £10 when the buyers pay, so that's good :)

Busy marking day today - I've marked everything that I already had which is great, but now I have another batch. But enough work for today I think!

My ebay sales did better than I thought, generating £16 in profit, so I've withdrawn this from paypal & paid straight into my ISA (where I can't touch it)

Might go & have a paperwork sort out now & see if I can find those CC account details for the PPI claims.

After all the marking yesterday, I was a bit rubbish & failed to get anything else done :(

    Time for today's list then:
    • Find PPI paperwork for the 2 CC claims
    • Package & post items sold on eBay
    • List 3 new items on eBay
    • EDF meter readings
    • Marking (2nd year stuff)
    • Check online banking
Just 7 days to go until my next hospital appointment... hoping for some (any) progress
