How to access broadband with new provider and old router?

    The only thing that I'll mention here is that the quality of the PN recently supplied Sagem 2704N router is perhaps not as good as your own router.

    It seems to be perfectly acceptable on short to medium length lines (up to 5km from the exchange) but on my rural 6km line it was nowhere near as good as my old Billion 7300G.

    The best that the PN router could manage was 0.75Mbps, whereas the Billion manages 1.67Mbps (same as when I was with Virgin).
