So sorry mr and mrs Lurcherwalker xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hey SNOOZER my DD got married in Italy. In the Cloisters of San Francesco in Sorrento. So beautiful and so romantic, with her arriving for the ceremony by horse and carriage with Mr TA (much to his embarrassment!) Sadly the romance didn't last and they split up four years ago after a very tempestuous six years. But at least we got a lovely holiday out of it - 5 days in Rome and then on to Sorrento for another 10 days. (oh and 3 beautiful grandaughters too!)

Lyn and HWK, I am so sorry to hear about dear Docky but he is running free over the Rainbow Bridge now and without pain x

BB's little poem is so right, you will remember Docky in all his favourite places and I 'm sure it's not too fanciful to say you will feel him about the house. Take care x

Hester I hope the interview went well, whatever the outcome!

JackieO looking forward to reading your updates when you feel well enough.

Very warm here, heading off to vet soon with little Labrador for annual check up and jabs. She is very nervy so Dd is coming along to reassure her.

    Take care all x

It's been a good day at Gers Towers.

I did the run to the tip, the bank and the shops. Joiner came to re-measure the windows for the new ones, sent him some money by transfer and organised a trip to London in November.

The field of sheep have been replaced by cows, calves and a big bull which bellowed for most of the evening and night yesterday.

    [IMG][/img]Cows.jpg

It is nice to see them, especially the calves.

My dodgy knee seems to have translated itself into a dodgy hip, most odd indeed. Pain is coming up / down from calf to hip so I suspect it's a nerve playing up though it hurts to lie on so I'm not so sure. Will do some delving!

Sun is shining between showers. I'm going to put my feet up now, watch a couple of recorded programmes and relax.

Aww, Mrs LW we're all going to miss Docky and his sluuurps so much. I'm sure there must be the best quality bikkits at the rainbow bridge especially for such gentle loving friends as him. Hugs to you and yours.
  • As long as he has squizzles to chase and autumn leaves to roll in he'll be happy, thanks CRANKY he liked bikkits so much. Thank you to everyone else too for being so kind and really just for being here, particularly Butterfly Brain for that amazingly beautiful poem which has made me feel just a bit less devastated, I can do all those things and keep him with me, that is an immense help and I'm going to get DD1 to caligraphy it onto a canvas to keep for always where I can see it, it is such a comfort! Lyn xxx.

Hugs to Mrs LW & HWK, so sorry to hear your news.
Thanks for all the good wishes for hubby, he won't hear until Monday or Tuesday about the job, so I have the entire weekend of him being a PITA.
    Chin up, Titus out.

My beloved Penny-Dog will be his friend, too. He travels with so much love surrounding him. Lyn he'll never truly leave you, because he'll always have that special place in your heart.

    Good evening everyone,

HH do hope hubby's interview went well, hope you have a stressfree weekend.

Mrs LW so sorry to read of Docky's news, he was very loved and will be with you always in your heart.

    Judi, thinking of you.

    Tru have a lovely holiday.

    BB that's a lovely poem.

    Hugs to everyone.

Well after waking up to a thunderstorm and heavy rain, its been very hot and humid today. Work was so hot. I'm glad its finished for a couple of days, as I hate Friday's as when we have finished clearing up, I have another hour's paperwork to sort out, so didn't get home until nearly 4pm. Then I had to take DS to work and come back via the gym with DD:eek: Traffic was so bad, it took us an hour round trip.

DH made dinner fish, chips and beans, and then he washed up.

Just going to tackle a large pile of ironing.

    Have a good evening everyone.
