If they were okay when taking them out of the washing machine, would you then have prodeeded to dry them by placing in an oven at 350c for 30 minutes?
After all, I'm sure that there was nothing on the labels stating that this shouldn't be done either.

No, no, no. Put them in the microwave on full power for 10 minutes.

All the glitter will give off bright coloured flashes of light.

Play some music and you have a free disco :)

I washed some wellies - the darn things came out full of water.
They should've had proper drying instructions!

Wellies shouldn't get water inside. Take them back... not fit for purpose. :D
  • On a serious note, Rockport deck shoes are the only washable shoes I know and they give very precise instructions on the shoes. All other shoes are NOT washable.
Repeat just for anyone not listening: NOT WASHABLE.
    Unless instructions say they are.

Thanks for the giggle, but did you not think of your washing machine before you put them in, something solid and possibly heavy when wet bouncing around the drum, the next thread will be "I put my shoes in the washing machine now its broken store wont replace it"

Products that cannot be machine washed usually state "do not machine wash" on the label.
Same thing happened with my Laptop and Ipad. A fizzy drink had spilled on the spacebar, causing it to be sticky. I checked the labels and there was likewise no DO NOT PUT IN WASHING MACHINE. Looking at the fingermarks on my Ipad screen and being sure to check that it was machine washable, by its LACK of a label warning it wasn't, I decided to put them both in a hot wash.

It wasn't until it had run a full spin cycle, that I realised there was an issue. I rang Apple customer careline and explained the scenario and how to go about a full refund........They laughed at me.
