I've washed trainers in the machine, on a cold wash, in a pillow case within a pillow case.
But always on the understanding that if things went wrong, I had no-one to blame but myself.
I've checked my trainers and they don't have a label warning me not to set them on fire.0 -

Aye, none of my shoes have that they can or cannot be machine washed on them.
Not even the expensive shoes for my suit (and at the other end neither do my trainers).
IIRC you can wash some trainers but it's generally at the users own risk, not something you can/want to do with all shoes.0 -
I wash my trainers a lot and the only issues I get with them is that I need to glue certain parts of the sole back on almost every time with varying sucess i.e sometimes the glue lasts weeks with only a little bit coming unstuck other times they come apart almost instantly so it costs me a bit in glue.0

I bought similar shoes and went on a team building exercise where we had to walk over hot coals. Anyway the soles burned out and when I tried to claim a refund they said 'how did you burn them'. When I told them they said 'you can only burn them on gas', so I'm taking them to court.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

You should have argued the point. They normally refund if the burns are from Welsh steam coal but not anthraciteThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
