agree but irrelevant in this case; in post #1 the OP said it was a Friday. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

" though Faster Payments is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, some organisations only process payments sent to them on weekdays."

Although payments often occur in seconds or hours, Faster Payments should arrive no later than the end of the second working day. A payment sent on a Sunday had until end of business on Tuesday to arrive. Therefore it could make a difference whether the transaction was initiated on a Friday or a Sunday.
That said, if the payment hasn't arrived by Wednesday there is a problem.0 -
not all business accounts support faster pay, some use the old bacs systemsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

This was nothing to do with a delay in faster payments and any other normal delay like being a bacs payment. They actively withheld the payment and asked me to provide very specific ID to prove who I was, ie passport and drivers licence and they wanted to know the reason for the payments before they would release them. Conversely my colleague's salary and expenses arrived in his account on Fri 29th as normal without any queries. It's all been very weird.0

Hmnn I can't see the other post that I did earlier today thanking everyone for their input. I received one of the payments today after many phone calls, many emails, from both my employer and myself. The bank could not explain itself except to say that they were withholding the payment. It's very interesting to see all your comments and to hear that this is indeed an unusual situation. I will follow up with the bank and let you all know what the outcome is.0

I'm curious how your employers' bank knows how to contact you?
In post 1 you said it was your employer's bank 'acting up' and not yours and that you did not bank with them.
So all they would have is an instruction to pay account/sort code ZZZZZZZZ plus the name/title of your account - which might not be your name
They do not have any other details about you - so how did they contact you as you said they did?0 -
Me thinks employer might have financial difficulties resulting in some salaries not being paid.
OP tell your employer that you will accept your wages in cash.0 -
The bank sent my colleague an email asking for the info. The email was forwarded to me to provide the info. I refused to send my data via email so I went into the bank with the docs.0

What do your employers have to say about all this?0
-
Your employer has an account - he has instructed his bank to make a payment.
If his bank is refusing to act on his instruction, he needs to contact his bank to find out the nature of the problem and make sure that it is addressed.
You need an explanation in writing from your employer as to why your salary is being withheld.0
