I bought from Achica and queried whether my order had been received or not as the website crashed. They relied 'We must of received it if you paid by paypal'. This was customer services. I wanted to reply and ask they to get it right but thought they would not send out my order if I did.0

 Vegetarians differ in their policies on wearing leather, but descriptions like "animal-free" or "vegan-friendly" are sometimes used to make imitation leather fabrics sound more appealing than "fake", "polyurethane" etc. There's a thread on one of the facebook selling pages I use about the same thing. Someone complained about a leather jacket that they had gone to collect and which was man made. The interesting thing is that it has developed into a real bun fight with the seller claiming buyers are thick , as leather is just what something looks like and it can be man made. The last gem I read was a mate of the seller cussing and cursing people on the basis they are really stupid, because if leather had to come from an animal then how did they expect a vegetarian to wear it.
I've never come across the word "leather" used on actual labels of PU goods. I can see how that could confuse some people (maybe they imagine PU is a cattle breed or the item is part leather and part synthetic or something?) but I suppose it's a bit like "acrylic fur" which I've seen a few times.barbiedoll wrote: »I bought a "leather" bag from a private seller which turned out to be "PU Leather" according to the label.
:rotfl: I'm not sure I can even translate all those! Willytom = wellington? I just saw an ad - in a Facebook group which doesn't allow pet sales, so it will soon get removed but has attracted some interest already - for "Husky /char pie puppies for sale", which will be available by the end of June although they were only born 22 MayI do actually worry about the general state of education nowadays. The facebook selling groups have really opened my eyes to what we are churning out of the education system. I don't recall the last time I saw 'clothes' spelt correctly, the general consensus is that cloths is the correct spelling. I've seen wor drobs, Chester drawers, buge (a buggy) and willytom boots all in the past month.

Someone on one of my local FB selling pages advertised a "vintage real eiderdown" but it was ideal for allergy sufferers as it didn't have feathers in it.
I'm not sure if it was a duvet cover or if the filling came from the lesser spotted synthetic covered eider duck.0 -

I must admit to following some groups just for the sheer entertainment value. There was something on one of the antique/car boot sale programmes once about an eider down, someone was horrified it was duck feathers and insisted their vintage one was a nice clean and sterile polyester.
I think I am too old for it though- I often need a translator

I'd like to add that English is not my first language

That is exactly why it matters to you KRDmum. Because you learned it the hard way rather than at Mother's feet. I'm the same.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”
