Just got this through the post as expected having stopped for about 30 odd seconds.
(tried to post the letter but I can't as I'm a new poster)
So I'm wanting to appeal obviously, can someone please point out the correct procedure on how to do this please, much appreciated.
Mark.

except its not a fine, its a parking invoice for RHA and you probably were not parked but stopped on a road
the NEWBIES sticky thread tells you how to deal with this, and to appeal it
plus if you search the forum for RHA Doncaster and JLA Liverpool etc you will find dozens of similar threads about VCS , airports, plus the IAS kangaroo court appeal system
you can redact the letter and post it on tinypic or photobucket, then provide a dead url link for us, changing http to hxxp, although I doubt we need to see it0 -
Thanks RedX.
I couldn't believe the time scale, in the 'official car park' you are allowed 15 grace yet outside you can't pull up for 10 seconds? !!!!!! is that all about.
I did notice the van so tried to follow him but lost him then saw him again and got him to pull up in the middle of the road, I asked if he took a picture of my car and if so why as I was only there to put an invoice book away and he denied it was him, saying he had only just logged on and that it was his mate, he also looked like he was sweating so it all looked a bit suspect to me.
Cheers anyway though, if this goes to court so be it.0 -
its a sc@m to raise money m8, this is all about profit, not common sense
parking prankster blogged about it last year, did you not read it ?
or his recent one on the JLA sc@m ?
suggest you read them0 -
I'm not familiar with this forum mate can you point me in the right direction where to read this and what I can do (or should do) about this issue?0

also use the forum search in the FORUM TOOLS in the banner at the top of this forum (RIGHT HAND SIDE) , enter search words into the box and press GO to find similar threads

I made an account on here apparently in 08, I only found out the other day!0 -
Just an Update, I sent a template back that I saw on here saying that the fine was ludicrous etc, two months later I have received another one saying they intend to either get recovery agents out or take it to court, I know people say they dont but has VCS actually gone down this route? but if they do so be it.0
-
Why are you still calling it a fine? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
-
VCS do go to court, but the last time they tried it at this site the judge laughed them out of court
"Would you have waived the charge if he broke down"
"Of course"
"Well he says he broke down and I believe him. Case dismissed"
The reason they are not likely to go to court is that it is impossible to enter a contract because at the speeds you go past the signs, you cannot possibly read all the words. If a judge rules against them then the kangaroos court IAS will be stuffed.
Best to head them off at the pass. You can email this to them:
Dear VCS,
I deny any debt exists. Debt collection is therefore not appropriate and will be wasted costs on your part. I deny any contract was in place; the signage can only be read by a stopped vehicle as it contains too many words in too small a font to read fully at road speeds.
This lets them know you are not a soft touchDedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
