I like Lisbon. It has a similar vibe to Barcelona but is cheaper, smaller and with fewer pickpockets. It doesn't have a beach itself but there are some lovely seaside towns a short train ride away.
The best city break I have done recently was Krakow in Poland for a mix of history and very cheap food and drink.0 -
