why has no one yet suggested a fake ID????
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5
  • Oh just thought is she in to art of any kind? I may be 24 but love colouring etc. The entertainer has the crayola/griffin things that go with an ipad reduced to £5 each and loads of pens and pencils and things. Or loom bands? They have them on offer to.

I think your post was the response the OP was trying to get!;)

Yes, it did seem to me to be a troll post, but I felt like biting!

How about a bank account to put her money to save for something large in the future!

i don't remember what I got for my 13th birthday either.

    have a browse of https://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Home

and maybe take her to a bank and open an account so she can save up and understand the value of money and how much you've spent on her over the years

One of mine got a bracelet from Links for her 13th and the youngest an Art portfolio.

Your daughter has a lot already (I suspect the thread is a wind up) so without spending a fortune to "go one better" (which I definitely don't recommend), I suggest thinking laterally. An experience would be perfect. It could be as simple as a morning sewing with an experienced friend. I know loads of people who've done the Mercedes driving experience. Personally I think 13 is a bit young, but clearly I can't judge given how many people are signing up for them.

Why has your 12 year old already got the latest, high end gadgets and shops every weekend though .... whilst you're on MSE? ;-)

    In terms of gifts though:

Sewing machine? Netball goal? Bike? Special item of clothing (eg leather jacket)? Bedroom makeover? Piece of furniture or art for her room?

Really depends on what she likes and thus would appreciate.

One of mine got tickets to Harry Potter World for her birthday. Probably her best present ever.

A bag? My 12yo coos over Ted Baker bags (she doesn't own one!).

She also likes lush toiletries, eos lip balms, perfumes. I could quite easily make her a gift set together using her favourite brands.

Does she do any hobbies? Could you buy something connected to that?

If she has "everything" I'd suggest taking her away somewhere for the weekend, or perhaps to a concert or the theatre or something.
