What to get my 13 year old for birthday?

You take her clothes shopping every week, she has her nails and hair done every couple of weeks, she has *everything* including an iPad and iPhone.
Sounds like you've made a rod for your own back and she's a very spoilt child.
If she has whatever she wants all the time, she's not going to value anything.
I suggest sponsoring a goat or child in an African village or something along those lines.0 -

I think your post was the response the OP was trying to get!;)0 -
I plan on getting my daughter an engraved iPod when she's 13, I did this for my eldest too!
Saying that she has no gadgets other than a mobile phone and cheap tablet that my hubby got with his phone contract, so the possibilities are endless here!
How about horse riding lessons? Or membership to the local cinema.
Books, art stuff, games, DVDs, these are all the things my DD loves and is the same age! Although she is young girl her age and certainly wouldn't be interested in hair, nails and clothes just yet!0 -

You're the one who doesn't know what to buy her own child for what you consider to be an important occasion, so perhaps it's you who has the problem?:D0 -
So at 12 she already has an iPad, iPhone, her own TV, gets new clothes most weeks and has her hair and nails done regularly? No wonder you can't think of anything to get her. How about a paper round?
For my 13th birthday, I built myself a BBQ out of left over bricks and a grid from an old oven and had 3 or 4 friends round. I can't remember any gifts I had.
I'd love to know what you are you planning for her 16th/Prom/18th?Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

What about tickets to see her favourite band0

A book.
Seriously, this child sounds like she already has everything - could always get her the proverbial "box to keep it in"
Tickets to see a band? Daytrip to a theme park for her and her friends?
I don't remember what my parents bought me for my 13th, but I do remember two of the presents from relatives - a vanity case, and a posh pen. I didn't appreciate the latter until I was much older.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I bought my 13 yr old niece a driving day at Mercedes-Benz World, she drove cars around the track and off roaders on an off road track and she loved it. Likewise my nephew loved clay pigeon shooting and off road buggies.
I much prefer to buy experiences as a gift these days rather than stuff.0 -
3 bottles of cider and 20 fags

I don't remember what I got for my 13th birthday but I can tell you what I did. We had a party with family and a few of my friends and it was so much fun for us dancing silly around the living room. To me it isn't always about the gifts but the memories of the day.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
