Ending contract
I've just ended my 18 month contract with Orange early - it was a C'phone Warehouse cashback offer (8 months cashback) and after 8 months I can't afford to keep it going. I had 'complete' insurance with the CW in which I could cancel the contract without charge (here) which I have also ended. But when ending the contract in the CW today, they told me that Orange would still charge me for this month, even though my billing date is the 20th, and it takes 5-7 days to end it all; the salesman last time said that it would be better to end it on the 20th so that I get the most out of the month (which I've done). The salesman said that although Orange will take the money out of my account, they should pay the remainder of the month.
Would it be a good idea to go into my bank and end the direct debit for Orange? Like I have CW's insurance?
Any advice please!!
