other than the three places mentioned above there is a cafe nero in T2 arrivals and that is it

if you are not happy with the offerings at the radisson then you will have to go off airport

from T1 you can walk across to Bewleys, the hilton and the Crown plaza but similar to the radisson they are airport hotels catering to a captive audience

somebody mentioned the airport hotel above and as said it is a twenty to thirty minute walk from the radisson, it has recently undergone renovation and i have not been there since it was reopened

it is a robinsons pub and info can be found here

    www.airport.pub/gallery

other than that you would have to go further off airport by tram, train or bus as mentioned above, my choice would be a train to heald green train every 20-30 minutes and cost under £2.00 off peak return

at heald green you have a harvester a hungry horse lots of local shops and takeaways

manchester airport is very poor for selection of food and drink before security at all terminals
Brother owned the Wagon & horses back in the 90s . opened the car boot there . cracking pub and the new jungle bungle had cars queing up from first light at weekends .
 hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world

As I suggested in post #11, but the OP seems to not want to go that route (although I think both objections that were put forward are unlikely to be an issue).
Must read and digest (see what I did there), the whole post before I reply.

I did think Cod and chips for Breakfast was a strange combination. I would just have a look at other hotels menus personally, or jump on a train into Piccadilly even, depending on the time.
  • yes im the same there is a lunch menu at the radisson but it stops at 3pm, however as previous people have mentioned bewleys(or clayton as it is now) have a nice menu and its cheaper. we however catch the train back into manchester pic only a few £ and go to the local restaurants like zizzi or something. if you go on voucher codes or similar sites you can find lots of deals to save some ££

As this thread has been revived, I would just like to say, we settled for Joe's Kitchen, which although not memorable, served a purpose.

All very well and good but after driving over 200 miles and with an early flight, the last thing we wanted was to be messing around with unfamiliar public transport just to get something to eat.

Going from Manchester again in August, this time we've booked an off site hotel that does normal food

The Airport (PH ) is walkable great for plane watching too, food..well average, fast food type. If you get a cab, try The Romper near the viewing park, i would only assume £5-6 each way, much nicer food.
