Manchester Airport, anywhere to eat before security

Could you order a takeaway to be delivered to eat in your room?
Not sure that would be allowed, or even if the takaways would deliver to an airport, where would they park whilst delivering it to you?I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
Had a meal at Bewleys two weeks ago. Prices were nornmal pub prices e.g £ 9.99 for a main meal. Nothing special but more than acceptable. Would use again if using the airport.0

That's all we want, nothing fancy, just usual Hungry Horse, Harvester, Brewers Fayre type menu, it's for myself and my 12 year old daughter who have an early flight to turkey, not a couple who might want to indulge in some posh nosh before flying out to somewhere exotic, I chose the Radisson for it's location and convenience, not for any other reason.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
There's a decent cafe/restaurant just up the stairs at Terminal 1 after security. (It was there a few years ago). Think it was a tenner for a full breakfast and a coffee.
I know at terminal 1 downstairs there is a cafe way before you through security.
Sorry, my response was vague but I'm sure there may be more details on the website.
I know when I was a lad, my mum and dad gave me an apple before check in and gave me some sweets for the plane, and told me to wait until I arrived at the other end.0 -

Given that the OP is looking for somewhere to eat on the evening of the day before travel they may be a bit hungry by the time they arrive if they take your mum and dad's advice .0 -

As I suggested in post #11, but the OP seems to not want to go that route (although I think both objections that were put forward are unlikely to be an issue).0 -

Correct, however, still a useful post, it's a long time since I've flown from Manchester, however I seem to remember in one of the terminals there was a big open area with shops and you could go up some steps to a cafe where you could sit and watch the planes taking off and landing, all before security, might have changed now though, I'm going back 10 years or so.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

You both made valid suggestions, however, I'd rather a meal and a pint (or 2) my comments regarding the logistics were based on our experience of the Sofitel at Gatwick which like the Radisson is in the heart of the airport next to the terminal, there was no-where you could stop unless you were on a meet and greet package where you pulled into a dedicated area, unloaded the car and a man then took the car to their parking area, the car was only there long enough to unload.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
http://www.tattonarms.robinsonsbrewery.com/ - This would be a 10-20 minute walk (depending on how quick you walk). I have not been in here for about 10 years but it would probably do the job.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
