marmite, your holiday sounds really exciting! Enjoy your hols!
Just a quick update from me: NSD No. 7, LTW no. 10.
I am hoping tomorrow will be another NSD. I don't foresee any spendy day before the weekend as the fridge/freezer/cupboards are still well-stocked. Might run out of bananas but plenty of other fruits to fall back on, so I will stretch these NSD's as much as I can. Being a newcomer to this forum, i consider it an achievement to have 7 NSD's and it's not even mid month yet. Last month, the most I had was 6. Keeping my fingers crossed that I would have my 3rd target of 20. I live in hope,"There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
After a spendy few days I finally bagged NSD 3 yesterday. Hoping for another today...Starting 2016 debt-free

marmite your holiday sounds lovely.:) I know what you mean about flying I hate it.
My parents tried to take me to Portugal when I was 16 we got to the airport and I couldn't get on the plane, my grandparents had to come and get me:o I never even tried again until 3 years ago when it was my 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to do something special. I booked a trip to Paris with champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower and I knew I couldn't let DH down so I got on the plane  Been on a few since then but I am still terrified
I have to go on one on Monday to Turkey
NSD #7 made it's way into the cauldron yesterday but today will be a spend day. Family want a BBQ tonight Yes it is sunny here and it might be the only day for a while so BBQ it is :rotfl:
nargle ehm not one to complain usually but I think Mrs Doyle may have gone a little overboard with the sequins and diamantes every time I move I am leaving a trail behind me.Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Thanks.First stop SW France and the family will all be together for the first time in....10 years.
Then to the Channel Islands where my sister lives, expect we can't fly direct (via London),then home for me via London again.
The BIG stress is that my sweet little kitty will have to go to a cattery.First time for her in her fourteen years....I haven't told her yet. :shhh:
scotmum I have flown a far bit, including a few times across The Big Pond.I haven't always been like this.
Well down for addressing your fears. It's not easy...
Your Paris anniversary break must have been magical!
Turkey sounds nice. Are you going by the sea?Never been there myself. Is it your first time?0 -

Made me more than a little nervous around donkeys at the time.....
I've also been told (more recently) that you've more chance of being run over by a bus than winning the lottery !!!!Cheryl0 -
As a child I was regularly told that more people are kicked to death by a donkey than die in an airplane accident each year

Yikes!
Hubert is all ears.....
I knew someone who won so much from one scratchcard win that she bought her house with it.
PS bought a sneaky second hand dvd yesterday since it was a spendy day what with the plane ticket purchases.
I've got my thrifty belt, hat, shoes and bag back on again though today. :money:
Any more dvd purchases planned today?0 -

We could enclose said hat in clingfilm! You never know,it might start a new craze.... :rotfl:Nargleblast wrote: »
Now, Mrs Doyle tells me she has finished all the hats for us to wear at the races, and they are so imaginative in design you would not believe they were once lampshades! Mine is blingy to the max with lots of diamante and sequins, Hubert has insisted he have the pink lurex number, there is a fabulous wide brim one with a huge ostrich feather for marmite (honestly, it screams "I'm in charge") and the rest are all variations on a theme. The theme being "upturned flower pot" but with loads of sequins. Form an orderly queue in the drawing room so Igor can measure your heads and issue the right size titfer. Mrs Doyle will supply tea and cakes while you are waiting.
I am sure the team will rise to the occasion, you know how we all enjoy a bit of a do. And I have it on oath from Igor that Bert Scroggins has legged it to the nearest tax haven so will not be running his usual bookie stall.
I love the ostrich feather...thanks Mrs Doyle!
Nargle did you ever get your winnings back...what was it..41p?
That Bert Scroggins...what a rascal.0 -

Paris was amazing and everyone was so nice . We had a fantastic time
We are going to a hotel in Turkey which is right on the beach and says it's nice and relaxing. Just what we were looking forI have never been to Turkey before but a friend goes a few times a year and she swears by it. (Remains to be seen if she will still be a friend when I get back :rotfl:)
