browser choice

For some time I have been using the Opera Mini browser on an Android tablet while visiting this site.

I was just involuntarily logged out, switched to the new forum format, and cannot log back in using that browser.

So I'm posting this using a different one.

I am sorry if this will sound stroppy, but I feel that adding denial of choice of certain browsers to the various forum changes being made is not justifiable.

My reasons for preferring Opera Mini include that it consumes less data, which is helpful on a mobile connection.

Can you be more specific? "Cannot log back in" is not particularly helpful. I highly doubt they are denying your choice of browser intentionally.

Do you get an error message? What actually happens when you try to log in?

Almost nothing. It reloaded the log-in page.

Very odd. Logged back in ok in Opera Mini on about the 12th or 15th attempt.

Maybe I should ask them to delete the thread, but on the other hand some other people have had some problems. I wonder if there is some compatibility issue with Opera's data compression and vBulletin's log-in format.
