Of course. But as Cameron noted recently, if they ask for something they know they won't get, nor particularly want, they can then complain when it's refused.

I said they know they won't get it, not that they don't want it.
Allows them to play the ' Scotland betrayed' card to their supporters.
It's their supporters that want FFA ( see General Election results May 2015). It wasn't exactly 'hidden' from the general public in Scotland during the election campaign. Scottish Labour got screeds and screeds of negative doom-mongering coverage about FFA for months. It didn't do them much good in the end.

You (and Cameron) have gotten everything the wrong way round I'm afraid. The SNP are in Westminster because half the Scottish electorate voted them in.. in order to ask ( repeatedly ) for meaningful further powers/FFA. That's exactly what they're doing. I can't really see the problem ?
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

The problem is they know FFA is both unachievable and currently unworkable. They just ask for it continually to justify their existence.

Would help if they could detail what they would do with it if they got it. Any ideas?

A large portion still want it, whether it is workable or doable is for us to figure out, personally I want indy though so I accept I am biased. The heat seems to be getting piled onto the SNP just now so they must be irritating someone, hope they keep up the good work

What heat? Everyone else is just getting on with the tasks in hand. Life carries on. More immediate and bigger concerns to be addressed.

If I were a SNP voter and perhaps had voted for them on the proviso that they push headlong for FFA, I'd be a little bit put out that their reasons for not doing so were a tad disingenuous.

From what I hear they still want it .... I didn't vote for them though so couldn't say how I would feel (if I did vote for them that is )

Blimey, are you one of those people who think if they just say the same thing over and over it makes it true somehow ?

They've voted FOR FFA twice now. Both immediate and deferred until the mechanisms/agreements are in place. And have just put forward a third one.... All since May 7th. And it's only 24th June.
SNP voters are quite happy with that I can assure you. It's those that keep voting it down or abstaining that aren't too popular. And it's not like the Tories have been in a huge rush to implement much of their own manifesto as yet in comparison.

    1) They are and have been pushing hard for FFA within the constraints of the Scotland Act and Westminster. 2) There have been no reasons for 'not doing so/being disingenuous'..because they have actually been doing so. 3) They post everything they do on Twitter and post well in advance when the debates are happening on BBC Parliament. So we can all watch as see exactly what they, and the other parties are doing re FFA etc. ( ie voting down or abstaining mainly ).

    Yep that's what I thought

Did u see the debate on youth parliament using the building? Not many SNP MP's but of those that were there they did very good, was suitably impressed ( although not so much with Wishart... Guys OK like but just went the long way round )

Yes, this SNP stuff in Parliament is a bit boring and predictable, a policy agenda based on deceipt, as ably explained by Shakey.

As far as I can see they've "won" nothing yet, excepting what is in their imagination along the lines that when Parliament does not accept their lunatic amendments everyone in Scotland feels insulted.

The sooner the Scotland Bill is done and dusted the better, and then we'll see if the SNP has anything in their mind except negativity.
