Weren't they told they'd be kicked out of the party if they deviated from the party line?

The New Politics in Scotland seems to consist of slavishly agreeing to everything the leadership say.

@Shakey, the link Generali gave states that vow has to be agreed by party members. Is that true, or is it just SNP Westminster MPs?

Since you are an SNP party member, does that mean that you have signed it?

How do you feel about the Vow?

I believe it just applies to MPs. From what I can see, this was agreed in a closed session of the SNP National Council. According to Wikipedia at least, the National Council can make decisions which can then only be overturned by the National Conference as a whole.

I already saw the SNP MP's as the zombie apocalypse of politics allowing themselves to be blindly controlled by a distant puppet mistress. Didn't realise it was something they'd formally agreed to! It's the real life version of a Game of Thrones.

I understand they all have the same end game in mind but don't quite understand what happens if there's disagreement as to how this should be achieved.

So the SNP fudge on FFA/FFR has probably disappointed you?

Has FFA / FFR been offered?

Was that the Conservatives and the EU referendum vote?

it would seem that conservative MPs have refused to be dictated to and Cameron has backed down.

Can you find similar examples with the SNP?

Are you looking for or desperate for inparty fighting in the SNP like other parties suffer from?

Anyway, before starting another [STRIKE]debate[/STRIKE] argument, why not close out the ones you've already started?

    Of course not.
You still want your elected representatives to push for its immediate adoption as per the SNP manifesto though?

I won't expect anyone in the SNP to express a different view from the great leader because acolytes don't do that sort of things unlike real democratic people.

I think that was just the Cabinet who are meant to be bound by collective responsibility.
