I buy all my own clothes (except undies) in charity shops and always look out for potential presents too. For close family they might be second hand clothes but you can often get non-clothes bits and bobs new/nearly new at good prices cant you? I also buy plain mugs in cs and then knit a cosy and coaster which makes a unique present for about 50p!
I must admit I don't buy clothes in CS as gifts except for the OH. Anyway else gets gift sets which I stock up on after Christmas, Valentine's and Mother's Day!

Not sure if it counts but I picked up a mirrored candle holder, a Simon & Garfunkel album and two large paperbacks which the stallholder left behind at the end of the market? The books and music went straight into the donation bag as I Re-Bag and get a £2 voucher when it's full. Didn't buy anything at the market so that definitely counts.
Hung out two loads of washing on the airer and bought a cake to have with our tea, reduced by 60% as it's use by date is the public holiday tomorrow.
    Looking ahead

    Hi all

Took DS to cricket (flask for me and a bottle of tap water for him) then I promised him lunch out (£10) and a walk around the shops. He saw some trainers he liked that were £30 and I did waver but then I stood firm. He doesnt actually need another pair of trainers at the moment.

All the decluttering I have been doing has really made me not want to buy anything so we just went into the shops DS wanted to go in, it felt very relaxing.

I finished off the flask of coffee when I got in and I am still full from lunch so will just have a sandwich in a bit. OH and DS1 are on their way home from a fishing trip and I am not sure if they need feeding or not but there are a few bits in the freezer that need eating up.

So a nice weekend, and a frugal one which is even better!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Well we've just finished dinner which was a use it up base from yesterday. Took the left over chicken risotto & warmed that gently with a little water to stop burning. Then fried up some prawns & chorizo before combining. So sort of Paella. Served with the last of some baguette & a salad.

Also managed to get a grow bag for free at the supermarket using nectar points, plus found a 25p brand match sticking out of the till so nabbed that and used it towards some cornettos.

We enjoyed playing in the local park for free, & haven't strayed into a coffee shop either. So a very frugal weekend.

Have a good day tommorow those who are off.

    Good evening all

Had a lovley meal with the family today for Grans 90th. Then spent the rest of the day at my sisters, it was great fun. Must try and get up there more often but timetables between us both are hard. Did some archery and had a go on nephews snake blades :-D free entertainment and surprisingly enjoyed more than going the pub!

Going to have a tidy up now, so all fresh for the morning and hopefully spend the day in the garden weather permitting.

Sister has given me some plant pots and a huge outside storage box, which I'm going to use for toys to keep the garden tidier.

Need to re do budgets and look at money in general to plan some things! Just where to start!

    Night all
