Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks Hannah. Isn't it funny the conflicting advice people seem to get. I also love the HH books, son loves Henry. I have to say I'd probably prefer him to Perfect Peter :) £1 is great value.

Well have now stripped the YS chicken (£3.60 for a whole bird) it did a roast last night & sandwiches today and I'm just doing stock then will make chicken risotto for tea. Smells really nice bubbling away. Will be making use of some free chives from the garden to snip and add on top with cheese. Yum.

Totally, with ds1 (9yr old) I stopped exercising pretty much as soon as we found out we were expecting, with ds2 (6yrs old) I continued doing an aerobics class 3 times a week (reduced range of movement latter in the pg) until I was 3 days overdue!!! The instructor was a little worried that I would go into labour mid squat though!! lol I think it depends on what you are doing and how you are feeling.

BB- ds2 asked to play connect 4 earlier, usually board games don't come out in the summer months here, but it was nice to play it out in the garden :)

Kids eating their picnic in now in front of the tv watching Star Wars (hubby is v.happy with their choice!) I'm with them but happy to be catching up on here!

Hannah I'm always encouraging my two to play board games, as I love them ;)
I often do the same as you when we watch a film, especially if it was a star wars film, ds loves them and I've watched each of them with him before, OH will happily watch them again and again.

Baileys Babe, I love playing board games too, with the exception of Monopoly.... which is the one ds2 asks to play the most!! lol Luckily my sister & niece like it so I manage to get out of it sometimes :)

Good evening everyone! I'm back. I've finally deceided to get my iPad fixed and paid out £70 (he quoted me £75 the day before) which is cheaper than the £100 the first place was charging. Still a lot of money but considering I use it everyday and nothing else felt 'right' it worth the pennies.the DFW did leave it to the last minute and after lots of thought and consideration first. Also invested in a cover to keep it safe(r) £10

As well as that it has been a very spendy week. New iPhone charger, unexpected children's party, took little ones to a festival this morning and it's my Grans birthday meal tomorrow (paying for me and girlies, but I think it's her last one) Malta fund really been eatin into, so best get back to my money saving ways. Need to get £500/£600 for that and also priced up going Belfast for the day plus tickets to the titanic musiem @ £40 if book in advance so that's on the to do list.

Going to place a shopping order as all heavy things needed now and stocks low. After that will pay a little off the cc with what's left.

2 weeks of no overtime (today's pay and next week) due to being ill and the the girls daddy going on holiday and unable to do any :-( but after that should be able to build up the holiday fund. May count up the penny jar and stick that into it....

Right enough nattering. I'm going to work on my list and get that up

A load of washing on the line; batched errands in town with a visit to a friend to save petrol, wear and tear, etc; dropped off two birthday gifts which were (brand new) from CS. Not as bad as it sounds as this way the recipients get a nicer gift for almost the same money.
    Looking ahead

I think that's a great idea. I keep an eye for anything that comes into our home that I think no one will want here but can be Regifted. I think I've paid for about 3 brand new gifts all of the school year and son has been to around 15 parties. We did have a big party for him (on the cheap) so I've basically handed back to different people of course, items we got from that. It makes total sense from an eco perspective too. Keeping items from landfill. I reuse all wrapping paper and any card I can as well. Gift bags, tags, ribbons.
