OSL was the cheapest overall with BA, second Etihad from DUB. But I didn't find a business class fare for less than £2k pp, demand seems to be pretty good.
Could be demand, but not necessarily. GBP 2K in business class is about as good as it gets for Australia with the major carriers, I would take that in a heartbeat if I were looking for business class flights.
The deals that appear around £1K on BA are mostly for N American destinations, perhaps the odd Asian route thrown in. You'll occasionally find fares around that level with Qatar Airways (on a 2-4-1 basis), but more often to Asia than Oz.0 -
Seems BA are not happy http://www.headforpoints.com/2015/07/20/british-airways-clamping-down-on-dropped-final-legs-on-ex-eu-tickets/Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Yes, a very convenient place for BA to plant a story like this. They may or may not actually do anything, but easily avoided if you just fly the last leg from LHR and then position back home. It's a non-issue then, nothing they can do, and usually worth the slight extra inconvenience for the saving.EssexExile wrote: »Sorry, could be my fault, I sent them an email telling them what I thought of their service.;)
Well, the greatest shock there would be that they actually read the email...0 -

Surely cheaper to fly to Sydney, then to take a bus from the airport to Canberra for around £12.0

I found it was £1343 to fly a mutli-stop flight from Lodnon to Cairns (Australia) and then from Perth (after a road trip in OZ) to Auckland and then home again to London.
Then I checked from Stockhom where I will be a few days earlier and it was cheaper to fly from there even though it had an extra flight! It only cost £1048 to fly the same trip from Stockholm instead of from London - nearly £300 cheaper! If you wanted to save about £250 you can fly to Stockholm for about £50...
I am not sure if they allow you to "skip" the first flight (i.e. buy the flight from Stockholm and then say that you will get on at London)!!
Probably not I guess...0
