I don't think there is a right or wrong, both approaches have their potential positives and negatives. We only live once so we should find out what makes us happy and do more of it!

In my experience casual sex causes a lot of hassle. There's often one person who has a deeper emotional attachment or hopes of a relationship developing. Sometimes there's a third party who either doesn't like it, or is being lied to. The idea of safe no-strings fun between honest, consenting adults is fine, but in reality people can get hurt.

If you're young, take appropriate precautions, and don't lie to anybody then I don't see the problem. However, there comes a point where most people want something more than just casual sex.

I loved it in my wild youth. I was careful, used protection and was careful who I went home with and that people knew etc. I got tested regularly and never caught anything. I met hubby 9 years ago, he had a similar experience and neither of us had an issue settling down.

It's not for everyone - I had no issue with getting emotionally attached etc but I know a number of people who meet a guy, sleep with him and expect him to then be their boyfriend. As long as you both have the same intentions, no one is leading anyone on etc I don't see what problem it is.
