I want to hear from anyone their opinion, experiances, thoughs on both guys and girls playing the field.
Is playing the field (sleeping around for fun) with no emotional attachment a good thing or a bad thing ?
On the down side, your putting yourself at risk of infections, may get a bad name, and emotionally get messed up by feeling used, dont know what real love is, and even bedome depressed later on in life and find it hard to ever settle down, your maybe creating a spiral of playing the field for ever....
Maybe emotions do come in to it after all you might think your in love, you might really like someone but they dont want a relationship, stress is also a factor, arguments and jellousy.
On the up side maybe it boosts your confidence and lets you meet lots of different people so you have a good idea of what you want from a partner when it comes to settling down later on...maybe you feel good in your self...
Lastley does playing the field stop you looking / wanting other people that you might see in every day life...do you think well ive been with lots of people so they are not much to look at any more....
does it create stability in later life and fullfillment when you find the one ? Or is it always in Your mind to carry on playing / feel more tempted to play around even when in a commited relationship.....

Why are you asking, OP? Are you 'playing the field' yourself?0

I didn't play the field, but I had a few test drives. No trouble committing once I found the right model.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

Playing around, ie. promiscuity?
No it's not a good idea generally, but some people are shallow and get very bored very quickly. These are the types who tend to bed-hop.
Others are 'boring' and stay with one partner.
Different strokes for different folks (oo-er, no pun intended)0 -
Although I can see how it could be fun (up to a certain age), sleeping around has never had any appeal to me.
I'm also not naturally attracted to those who do, but then I have been with my husband since our late teens, so who knows what I would have been attracted to had I not struck lucky so young.
It's not something I would recommend to my kids either. Yes, be adventurous and have fun, but keep your self respect (since it's sadly still completely different for boys and girls!)0
