Currently on s3 Galaxy, o2
As both phones are on android, does that mean they both will have a similar interface/software from apps handling, downloads, whatsapp using etc.?
Does the HTC one9 playstore have roughly the same aps as the s6 playstore?
(as they are both on android?) or not?
have you used BOTH phones?
which do you prefer and why?
Share your experience,
What advantages does HTC one M9 have over the galaxy s6?
Thank you

1. Yes. Not only is it Android, it's the same Android Lolipop (that can be customised a little by the manufacturer).
2. I know one google playstore. Never heard of playstores for specific phones. That said, it's a possibility that there can be a few phone-specific apps.

The play stores will be the same as they both run android.
Look for reviews for both phones, even look for a comparison review.0 -
ive looked at comparisons for both gsm arena has a good one-the s6 wins it just about apparently the camera even though it more pixles doesnt perform aswell on the htc as the samsung
theyve all got the same apps from the play storeWhat goes around-comes around0 -
Also Consider the LG G40

I have read the HTC M9 does run hot at times and that the rear camera is 'improved' over the previous UltraPixel effort.
Whilst TouchWiz has been scaled back on the S6 I think it's still somewhat a bone of contention for certain people. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I just thought I would add my 2p worth.
In the past I have had both HTC's and Samsungs. I Preferred the UI of the samsung, but the HTC handset was always of a higher quality. The last handset I had was the HTC one M7, which I found to be very robust, and when I put a custom ROM on it all the little niggles I had with it went away.
Now however I have opted for an iPhone 6 plus, mainly as my wife invested in a mac when her old windows laptop died.
In the past I have always avoided apple for no really reason, but I now I would recommend to anyone who asked to seriously look at one if they are looking for something topend like the M9 or S6.

Thanks all, for the help.
Would the 'speed' of opening and using apps, both be similar on both?
eg, switching from app1, to app2 on the s3 was slow.
The speed will be much faster, on these 2, but
Would this speed most likely be the same on both phones ?

if you look at the reviews they do tests on these i think the s6 came out on topWhat goes around-comes around0

HTC's M9 packs a Snapdragon 810 (octa-core) processor clocking in at 1.5 GHz.
The Samsung S6 packs a (octa-core) Exynos 7420 processor also clocking in at 1.5GHz; however this chip is manufactured by Samsung themselves which (as robbies_gal says) that reviews show the S6 has the edge in terms of launching apps.
I believe the Snapdragon processor has had the tendency to overheat (which is one of the reasons Samsung never used them this time.)It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
The camera on this phone isn't in line with similar phones of the same release (Samsung, iphone) as in, it could be better,
But if for just basic, but regular photos it would be fine I suppose.0
