Lovely Mrs mp! Very professional. I'm sure they will love it!

Just had a shock. We pay a management fee of about £150 for goodness only knows! The upkeep of a manual gate, shared between 7 flats and 5 houses! Anyway when we move they want nearly £400 for leaving for 'admin charges'!! How can it cost that to change the names on the paperwork! Robbing b*****s! Anyway rant over. Just been playing games with ds2 and now having lunch. The place is looking ok so hasn't needed a lot today. Will do bathrooms after lunch!

    Congratulations Boddy
Hugs Dusty you sound like you need them.

I've been mainly in the garden today as it is lovely. The millions of weeds are at least easier to pull out as the soil is damp after the rain. I've been picking up the debris of the weeds I hoed yesterday in the broad bean bed, I'll swear ******* new ones have grown overnight.
Spent time in greenhouse moving stuff out to harden off, and repotting any seedlings.
Did manage some of latest report earlier, and some email stuff - but I suspect it is going to be gardening after lunch too rather than house stuff; that can wait till it rains again! Having said that, I need to clear access to windows this eve as the window fitter is coming for final measurements tomorrow. When last asked, the anticipated date is 4-6 weeks so then the house will be in chaos. I just hope as few rooms as possible need decorating or touching up afterwards.

  • Congratulations Boddy, that's lovely news!

Mrs-MP, that cross -stitch looks lovely. Might look into doing some of that...

Frizzle, that charge sounds a bit suspect to me! Have a look at your original contract and find out where this 'admin' charge is coming from?

I'm off list this morning, I'd made 2 cross stitches as gifts but was horrified when I took them to framers and was told £44 each!! I've had a go at framing one which looks ok to me and I'm in the process of doing the other.http://t.co/rGNCXqClvK

Link has worked but it goes to my Twitter where I was showing it to my DD they are the ones I mentioned doing for teaching friends, I won't post the other as its personalised with the school and teachers details as its a retirement gift, this one is a rather late birthday pressie.
That looks fab, Mrs MP. I've always framed my cross-stitch pieces myself; I'm too darned stingy to fork out to get them done for me!:D That said, they only ever end up on my own walls, as 1) I'm not confident enough to give one as a present and 2) I don't have anyone to give presents to in the first place.

Flying is..... not exactly happening, unless you count decluttering money from anywhere I can lay hands on it, and tidying it all away into Mr LW's current account.:( Insurance have come back to us; as we suspected, car is written off. I've told him he can sort out obtaining replacement, he doesn't need me to hold his hand to do it, my only condition is that it mustn't be red.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Congrats Boddy.

    Sorry about the car LW.

Trying to catch up with being out all day. Choc cake went down well at ch shop!

Just about to look online for some holiday tops. The ones I brought home from ch shop to try were not me!
