Accidentally popped out wrong size of sim

Hi,
EE sent me a new sim as I had swapped from PAYG to Sim Only I needed a micro sim but when I tried to take it out the nano sim sized part just fell out. So then I removed the micro sim part of the full size sim and slotted the nano sim back into the micro sim part!
I have put it in my phone and it seems fine.
Just wondering if it will be ok or I should do a sim swap? (have some PAYG sims lying around).

Nah they are designed for you to be able to slot them back together, so it should be absolutely fine.0

If it's working, it should be fine. Just don't keep taking it out and putting it back in again or it may work loose and get stuck in your sim slot.0

If you're worried you could put some thin sticky tape on the back of the SIM ... only one side has contacts so putting the tape on the back shouldn't cause an issue, unless your SIM slot is very tight.0

If the phone gets too warm during charging or heavy use it may cause the glue from the tape to weep onto the contacts over time.
Slim chance maybe but runs the risk of also voiding a warranty. It's not just about the money0 -

Bad idea, only time I managed to break a sim reader was when I decided to put some tape on the back of a sim, the action of putting the sim in and taking it out tends to make the tape get stuck in the reader.
There is far less risk just using the nano sim and the adapter part.====0 -

I'm not really sure how that differs from what he already has! The sim will be fine as long as it isn't constantly removed and reinserted to the point that it won't sit in the template cutout anymore.
If really concerned just order a new sim (or go into a network store and ask for one), it won't cost anything and activation is normally pretty instant.0 -
From a personal bad experience, I'm with silk and d123 on this.
In the old days people used to mend cassette tape using sticky tape, often with serious results. They did make a special splicing tape to do the job which did not ooze. Wonder if you can still get that stuff these days?0 -
You can get SIM adapters easily; typically if you go into your (or any) phone providers' shop they'll give you one free.0

I've used this successfully - does have a very thin sticky layer and clips into place very securely.0
