been awol due to iPad just doing all crazy things! Making it hard to post. Still been reading though. Ordered a cheap new pad, really love it but have deceided to put it away for dd1 instead. I perfer the bigger screen so going to dig out my laptop tomorrow. I don't have the money to repair I pad at the moment and don't want to reduce debt payments. However, right now it is behaving :j

Not been very well the last couple of days. Missed work this evening, but hopefully will make it tomorrow - it's all pennies towards going on holiday.

Some bits from last few days

    - found a money bag with jojo tips wrote on it in work :-D lots of pennies inside - gone in jar
    - £2.50 tips Friday
    - fab time at the circus wed with free tickets. Did spend money inside though on overpriced drinks and food. But don't get to do much stuff with little ones so ok
    - paid £147.5 off cc, will soon be under 1k mark
_ 2p roadkill, everyday for the last 4 days I think
    - been getting some free cake from the freezer at work. Can't really sell it as been in their a while but it's still good yo eat :-D
    - some clothes for the dd2 in sale, bigger size but will help when she jumps up a size. Crept up on me the last two times and really struggled getting clothes, as had to pay full price (only seams to be good offers when your not desperate lol)
    - 2 more free outfits from sister for little ones. Plus she got me a Edward Cullen tshirt haha I'm gona be sad and wear it though :rotfl:
    - been living off Ys sticker items and scrapes in the cuboard. Still plenty I can make but big shop needed soon as run out of washing powder, conditionrt, shampoo, bubble bath etc and tin items etc
    - little ones dad is on holiday next weeks, so girlies here every night so need to meal plan carefully this week
-house is messy again, with being poorly but will just have to catch up when possible
-things are beginning to happen in my garden plot, very exciting
-Had a reply of council. I'm now getting £10 a week reduction? Still a £70 difference from what all the online calculators say....not sure what to do with that

Need to look at budgets and pull in again, some how :-| just hard when your trying to juggle so many things at once. Could cut out the small 'house' budget for a little while as I have a few projects I could do which don't require money

That's all for now. Night everyone

    Another late post from me:hello:

Didn't make it to the hairdressers as had another rough night and then didnt get up until 2pm:o Will have to go Monday I think.

So today has been fairly lazy and simple -
    Checked bank accounts
Read gas meter and submitted online - this months bill looks set to be about £6 again :j
Checked Topcashback, did my daily clicks (only 6p a day but it all adds up;) )
Checked for surveys, did about 4 on Nectar Canvass, my nectar balance is soaring up, will be able to do my next shop almos completely with points:T
Phoned Virgin to confirm Im not switching and check about the discount they'd offered.....and was offered an even better one, woo hoo!:rotfl: So rather than the £26.50 Ive been paying Im down to £13.50 for 6mths then £18.50 after that, and started immediately not waiting until my current contract runs out. Very happy as Im getting Virgin's super-fast speeds at barely any more than most companies charge for basic speeds.
    No spend day :A

Hope you have all had good days too, see you tomorrow

    Morning All
Jo Jo -great to read your update. I had been wondering why you'd not posted this week. Sorry you've been ill. Sounds like you've been keeping the DFW faith though and congrats on getting to the 1k mark (almost) there are so many people almost there now on the thread. So inspiring!

Faith - sorry you are still suffering the bad nights. Hope the coming week will be better for you.

Well today, we're taking DS to take part in Junior Park run. It's a 2k run following the same format as the adult races. Another of his friends from dance started a few weeks ago and has recommend it as a fun thing to do. It's free to enter so also good for us.
After that OH has to go round to our flat to help our tenant move all the furniture from one room as we have to have some vital plastering done. It's going to take 3 days and plasterer wants everything out. It's a challenge for OH as the flat doesn't exactly have lots of storage space...
Our supplies are quite low at home for food. Need to see if we can scrape by today or whether we need to do a small top up shop.
Right well sun's up, coffees drunk. Let's do Sunday!

We had a party invite for last night that but getting baby sitting for the little one, then taxi there and back and both drinking would have been 120 quid easy. So instead I stayed home and did and hours overtime for work. The good wife drove to the party and spent a mere six pounds. Yesterday I put three old games consoles on eBay. The n64 which is broken went immediately for £30!!!! Our one bit of weekend unnecessary spending was six cans of beer on Friday night for £6 which was savoured to every last drop knowing that my first week of DFW life has been very successful and £6 could be spent as it had been budgeted in YNAB.

Todays aim is to meal plan and shop at Aldi. As I can never get everything there I have to spend on a few items next door in Tesco but have a budget of £80 for the lot. I can easily do it. The main challenge is coming up with tasty variety of dinners for the busy working week
Starting debt £26,606 (was undoubtedly higher but I never tallied it all up)
Current debt £26,606 (just started DFW life!)

    Hi All

Having a good morning, animals done by six am. Made 3 rhubarb pies with some rhubarb a neighbour kindly gave me. Also done a pastry case ready for a pudding at some time. Shoving all in the freezer for now.

Also done a rhubarb crumble. Made a rooky error, having boiled and sweetened rhubarb thought, hey, this looks a but runny, added cornflour, just a bit, but should have mixed with water first. Spent 20 minutes picking out small balls of white cornflour.Aaaargh. How old am I?

Anyway all done and looks ok. Will feed lots of farming men at some point.
    Dishwasher is on.
Thinking about going back to bed, but should really be doing chalk painting of some old furniture. Bought the stuff, just need the enthusiasm and energy.

    Have a lovely sunday everyone.

    Hi everyone :hello:

Big shout out to the new posters - I hope you like it here

    Here's me:

:) Overtime yesterday - not paid but time off in lieu and nominated for a £250 spot bonus so I took my chances

:) Yoga show today - got 2-for-1 entry on a living social deal so quite happy with that

    :) Teaching yoga tonight :T

    :) Class planning ^^

    :) More Kon Mari-ing :D

:) Taking 5 Lush pots back for free face mask ;)

:) Giving away some posh make up (get from friends for free) to colleagues :A

I've hit a bit of a lull with selling stuff - anyone feel the same? Had a few bad experiences and it's just put me off completely. Could probably store everything in the garage until I'm finished clearing out and then do a car boot but I honestly can't be bothered... :o I've got posh new make up which I can probably sell on ebay but listing each thing just takes so long. Thought books on Amazon would be worthwhile but recently I've been shafted with postage.

    Morning DFW-Ninjas,

Wrote this post offline before posting.

    New Era Day 9
    :

:grinheart Shopped around for cheapest DVD I wanted.

:grinheart Sold three wee lots on eBay. Money will pay for half the opera tickets and the parking in Glasgow tonight, but not the fuel. So that's a trip to the opera for £10 on tickets, £5 on fuel and £2.50 for contraband drink and snacks. So we've only had to find £17.50 all in. Found the cheapest parking through Parkopedia (Link). We'll eat before we go out. Seats are up in the balcony but we know from experience that you get a good view from up there if you pick the right seats and it's a huge saving compared to the £100 tickets at the front. :A

:grinheart Blitzed the kitchen with Stardrops and washable cloths.

:grinheart Lunch will be some very meaty venison burgers bought at a discount and roasted veggies that are past their best. Using packet stuffing but haven't enough so will add a little cherry jam and some cous cous to bulk it out.

:grinheart Cool wash on in the washing machine.

:grinheart Will charge phone in car later.

:grinheart Electric alarm clock off at the wall til tonight.

:grinheart Veggies coming up nicely in the garden and kitchen windowsill herbs flourishing.

:grinheart Used veggie stock from boiled potatoes/sweet potato/onion to make lentil soup to eat later so we don't want to get a takeaway on the way home.

:grinheart OH dried mint leaves to refill our herb shaker pot.

:grinheart OH will slice up meat later and freeze in portions using meat slicer we got as a gift couple of years ago.

Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.

Woohoo! I have 4 bids on another item that's ending in 2 hours so I will hold fire on dropping off the Lego to the Hermes pick up point and hopefully do both together if they pay straight away saving myself a second trip.

I'm awaiting a MrT delivery, it was a hefty one but it includes stuff for lunches next week, cleaning stuff/toiletries and also some half price Phillips headphones for DS as his have broken.

    I also need to:

Email estate agents. Despite telling him via the telephone last week that I'm not going ahead with the sale and am going to hold out for more money (in view of the neighbours being under offer for the asking price which was £25k more) he has emailed me as if that conversation didn't happen.

Look out a new/cheaper gas/electricity deal as mine has ended.

Update DS's CV and help him look online for jobs.

Clean both the bathroom and the downstairs loo.

Spray a bit of weedkiller in the front garden as they are sprouting through the new bark chips. They're not all actually weeds as such, some are bulbs that got left behind when the garden was cleared but they're in the wrong place at the wrong time! (Does weed killer even work on bulbs? Am I going to have to dig them up?)

Sweep the road in front of our house as I forgot to move my car on the day the road sweepers came :o

    Have a great day everyone!
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
