so based on this one link and despite me offering multiple examples of why the information you believe to be true is incorrect you still think you are correct?
Well i guess no amount of evidence to the contrary will convince you otherwise so its a waste of my time.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
"As she passed through the green nothing to declare channel on arriving at East Midlands Airport she was stopped by an officer of the UK Border Force" - There you have it. Instead of passing through the EU blue channel, she passed through the green nothing to declare channel, which is subject to customs controls. If she had correctly passed through the blue channel, then she would not have been caught. I maintain that no customs controls are routinely carried out in the EU blue channel, only verification of eligibility to use it.http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Smuggler-caught-5k-drug/story-26518705-detail/story.html

i really am gone leave this here as i have better things to do with my life, especially doing the thing which you claim i shouldnt be doing.
anyway the above is a matter of wording. for example no blue channels, have baggage benches in them so they would have to be taken into a green channel for baggage examination. However there is nothing that says a passenger can not be intercepted in the blue exit and moved into the green channel for further examination.
but what the hell would i know.
however:

What I have said is a definite indication otherwise. If arriving passengers were already directed to either the blue or green channel by officers standing in front of the channels, as I was, why would all the officers stationed inside the blue channel only be there to check eligibility to use it? They are there to stop and check certain people, which can escalate into detailed questioning and examination of baggage. I have personally experienced this on arrival from an EU country, having aroused suspicion by my dash to catch a bus. They are indeed there to check eligibility to use the blue channel. Nothing you have said suggests otherwise.
It is not about excise or dutiable goods, which of course doesn't exist among EU/EEA. But regardless of what any person or website may say, there is definitely customs control on EU arrivals, even though it's not always evident because blue channel is often not manned.Evolution, not revolution0
