Help please translate!! .... "Audio system with digital radio, USB connections with iPod control"....
Getting a new car, it has no CD player, just a DAB radio and the above. What hell is it and what do we need to use it? Can we copy CDs somehow?

What the hell is what ?

If theres a usb port/slot eg like whats on the front of a PC then you can copy music to a usb drive to play.

What car is it? Are you sure it doesn't have a CD player, most DAB radios still have one even if they do have a full complement of digital inputs.

Dab radio - digital radio (think of it as the radio version of Freeview for TV) - wide channel choice but will usually also still have FM available. I'm old so have mine permanently on 'Absolute 80's' much to the kid's annoyance.

USB port - buy any usb flash drive - copy music from your PC to it and it will play in the car just like a cd will.

iPod control - sorry don't have an iPod, but mine has a cable that connects to an iPod and allows you to play iPod music through the radio and control tracks etc on the ipod with the car controls.

It may still have a CD player, as mentioned by others. My 'Dab radio with iPod & USB' in my Kia still has a cd slot

Edit to add - if u have a computer with a CD drive then you need to 'rip' your Cd's to your computer then transfer them to the USB stick

No CD, just a DAB radio and iPod thing. We live in the hills and there is no radio reception at all for a lot of time. Ty I will google the flash drive thing. :)

If you have TV pictures then you'll have DAB.

But living "up a hill in Scotland" there could well be no TV either, there was nothing other than very poor AM reception where I used to live and all broadcast media had to come through a satellite dish. The DAB radio in my car stopped working about 8 miles from home.
