Thanks for your usual to rush in to have a dig at me, with no input relevant to the thread.0 -
My postman has signed for me for years without me asking him to and I am thankful for that which is shown every xmas0

Personally, I don't see a problem with this sort of arrangement (RM bosses may well disagree) but you obviously know it's going to happen so I presume that you also know where the signed for items will be left.
This is very different to the situation that Gra76 found themselves in with no knowledge of who signed for the packages or where they had been left.0 -
Do you really think that's the reason? So has this been the case for years?0

Rather than reporting the postman, who clearly thought he was doing you a favour, why not take this as an opportunity to review your home security? You are aware that the postman could lose his job if you report him - signing for items is a sackable offence?
Postman would have put a note through the letter box explaining where the parcels were if he was genuinely trying to do a favour, that's what mine used to do, "parcel in shed" "parcel through cat flap" etc. It's someone else's fault.0 -
Ours normally scribbles a note on another piece of mail, which has been missed before. Fortunately there are only a couple of places to check if something is overdue, neither of which is locked.0
