Pizza Hut Buffet Ripoff

  • Did you speak to the manager? Your post states that you spoke to the waitress.

You should of spoke to the manager coupled with the fact that Pizza Hut offered to make you another pizza as recompense I cannot see what else they could of done at the time apart from off you money off.

I quite agree with you though, It must of been really annoying. Can you imagine if you had hungry kids with you !

Make sure you write to them. The chances are that they should stopped taking buffet orders/customers 40 minutes before they stop cooking joblot pizzas.

On another note, you shouldnt be eating at fast food restaraunts, since they are quite unhealthy.

I have to say that Pizza Hut did offer recompense and you turned it down for whatever reason. I think it is rather churlish to complain now. If you do decide to go ahead and complain, I do hope you state that you were offered a freshly made pizza.

Mind you, if it was that bad, why on earth do you want vouchers to go back?

The compensation was not really suitable. The replacement pizza would have been stuck in he boot for 3 hours on a hot sticky day. Not nice at all.

It was the service that was bad, not the pizza, so thats why I would go back.

The manager was unavailable, or so they said. I saw a guy in the back who was not in the usual uniform, so if that was him, he was avoiding me for some reason.

I thin the thing that annoyed me the most is as you say, they should stopp taking Buffet orders 40 mins before the end.

You are also riht about the health aspect. We only go there very rarely, so it shouldn't do too much damage.

But that will just irritate people who want a buffet...

If you don't like it don't pay. Pay for your drinks and then tell them why you aren't paying for the rest. You should have told them you wanted more Pizza as soon as you went up the 2nd time instead of hanging about, your kids and wife or whoever you were with probably think you were very ineffectual in this case. Write to there MD an you will probably get vouchers which you can use in another of the chain.

My wife is a "Don't make a fuss" type, so she didn't feel I was ineffectual at all.

    I will be writing though.

Hi Thunderplex, I have just read your plight and I would definitely write a letter of complaint. I too think it was totally out of order for them to take your 'buffet order' knowing full well that it was soon to close! Don't be fobbed of with the "you were offered another cooked pizza" debate. If you wanted a take away meal you would not have seated yourselves at a table in the first place! I say complain!!!
