Pizza Hut Buffet Ripoff

Just been to Pizzahut for an endo of holidays treat.
We got there at 2:50, and the girl asked us if we wanted buffet or the full menu. We decided to go for the buffet. By the time we had ordered drinks and sat down it was 2:50, so we got a slice each, a little salad, 1 breadstick and ate. We went back for more pizza, but there was not on the hotplate. At 3:10 a couple more pizzas were put out, but after the people on the nearest tables had dived on it, there were only 2 slices left, one of which was the spicy beef, which none of us like. we waited, waited and waited, then they turned the lights off on the buffet.
I asked the girl what was happening, and she said the buffet had now closed, as it finished at 3, but they should have put more out. I asked why she took out order if she knew it was about to close, but she just shrugged her shoulders and said that she hadn't noticed the time. She offered to make us a free pizza there and then, but it was no use to us, as we were on our way somewhere else. I ended up paying £20 for a couple of drinks, 4 slices of pizza and a bit of salad.
Any ideas on the best person to complain to?
Cheers.

You complained at the time, and they offered to remedy the situation with a free pizza. What else do you expect them to do?Gone ... or have I?0

To be honest with being offered a free pizza there and then you haven't got much to complain about, it doesn't take long to cook a pizza so it wouldn't have held you up much.0

They said it would take about 20 minutes, and as we were on our way somewhere, it would have made us late, which defied the object of going for the buffet in the first place. The other thing is that we would not have had a choice of pizza (she only offered a cheese and tomato), which again, goes against the buffet principle.
Either vouchers for further visits or money off would have been acceptable for me.0 -

You could always try HQ... if each of you only ate one slice of pizza each that's not really good value!

I'm not 100% sure of the legalities of not paying the bill.
I have heard that legally you can just pay what you think it is worth, and give them your details so if they wish to take it further, they can, but not being that up on the trading stadards side of things, I didnt want to risk it.
I must admit though, reading through this site I'm learning wuite a lot about what to do in the future in these situations.0 -

I have to say that Pizza Hut did offer recompense and you turned it down for whatever reason. I think it is rather churlish to complain now. If you do decide to go ahead and complain, I do hope you state that you were offered a freshly made pizza.
Mind you, if it was that bad, why on earth do you want vouchers to go back?0
