Passing on Fees charged on Postage

Conversely, if a buyer thinks the postage charge is unfair, then it is, no matter what anyone else thinks.
It is a curious thing that if Tesco actually put the price they pay for items on them they'd probably sell a lot less. If they sell the beans for 50p and label the cost price as 12p sales would plummet, irrespective of how much each item costs in storage, staff and other costs. There's not much you can do about perceptions, people, myself included, are largely daft.
But the OP knew the postage costs before she entered into an agreement to buy including those costs
Then after agreeing to pay the price including postage she bitc*es about the price of the postpostage
Are you kidding me!!!When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

OP saw and paid for signed for delivery, which OP say they didn't get- so how can you know in advance if you are being charged for the service you are being quoted for?
I think a defect star is unfair in this situation, but then I also think sellers shouldn't auote for one service and use another cheaper one instead.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It doesn't matter a jot if I agree with you or not, if the customer thinks they've been overcharged, then I'm not going to change their mind. But the OP knew the postage costs before she entered into an agreement to buy including those costs

From your other threads I'm wasting my time trying to explain customer service to you, you obviously attended the Basil Fawlty School of Diplomacy..0 -
Hi guys,
Just to clarify, if the parcel had been sent using the service advertised I wouldn't have really been bothered about a disparagement in the price. the item was not sent via the service advertised which means the postage was quite a bit higher than she charged to send it. I'm now also getting a barrage of message which are bordering on the personal and offensive from her as I did not leave her a full 5 stars across the board.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -

Perhaps sellers mistake is changing the postal service to a cheaper service and not refunding the difference?
When buying, if a postal service is specified, lets say a 24hr courier, and is costs £9.50, and that is defined in the listing, buyer accepts price and service, plus no of days for dispatch.
So seller then uses Hermes say at £4.75 on a 3-4 day service plus the dispatch days, buyer has grounds for a grumble.
It's about how much buyers pay for a specified service and their expectations from said service.if the parcel had been sent using the service advertised I wouldn't have really been bothered about a disparagement in the price
Which is pretty much the opinion of the OP.0
