  • repsonse from picture re mis selling ppi

basically they say thats it is impractical to give entire policy details over the phone, so a booklet was sent to read and consider.... before purrchase.... where do i stand?????
  • I have been mis-sold ppi from my loan company for the past 4 years. What i would like to know is. I have been off sick for the past 2 months and up until now i never knew i had ppi until the bank said they would phone and find out for me in which case they did and i have ppi. They said cause i have been off work sick for the past 2 months they would send me out a claim form. Is it true that if i make a claim for the past 2 months, then i cannot claim i have been mis-sold ppi??

    confused!!

if you claim succesfully you can't reclaim. Says so in Martin's article.

    Hi

Not sure if this question has already been asked before, so sorry if it has...
I have had several unsecured loans with Barclays within the last 6 years, and re-paid them early. Unfortunately, I no longer have the paperwork for any of the loans, and wondering how I go about finding out PPI.. I am sure the PPI was added onto the loan as a lump sum, and even more sure that I did not get this back when I repaid it early.. Do I need to request paperwork from Barclays before I go any further.
    Thanks in advance - KT-K

Send a SAR (subject access request) to Barclays, should only cost a tenner and they will send you all the gen they have on you.

    Hi,

Has anybody had any luck claiming from Welcome finance? The first letter is due up next Thursday and as of yet no reply.

Hi. I have not made a claim yet, but have had two loans with these sharks, so would be interested to see how they deal with your claim. All the best.
  • I was re claiming on the grounds of the pp term was for 5 years not the term of the loan, which wasn't made aware over the phone..

booklet is vague, as got lots of information for how long ppp lasts and is confusing as says 5 yr but also states reypayment date... but obviously not being told this over the phone, we were told we get a cashback after 2 3 5yr but not that it would end, so we didn't think to look into that too much.

also i have stated in my second letter that we informed level of sick benefit from work was good, and also was informed on topping up the loan that we were unable to cancel the ppp, as they had paid for it, and we would have to pay but not be covered??????????!!!!!!!!!
  • i am trying to reclaim ppi on credit cards RBS, HSBC, MBNA and GE Capital. All have said no with RBS stating policy sold on non advised basis, \what does that mean and does it make a difference?
Has anyone had success reclaiming with any of above?

Well if they aren't co-operating threaten them with the FOS, or just go to the FOS anyway.
