Hi Cuddles
I would do what ANYCHANCE:wave: suggests get breakdown of all figures
1st and second loan with them.
.I would ring them but make sure you ask for the person you have spoken to s name and record what date and time you when have requested the info from them.
a signed for letter is better but optional so you know what you have asked for and is easier to trace if they dont send it and to resend.

Hiya sweetheart,

Hi Baz.
Before you go using a company, give it a go yourself it`s really easy, good old Martin:money: has done all the work for you download the templates and go for it.I did and have heard back from Halifax agreeing to the misselling of PPI and with the promise of a total refund plus interest. You don`t need them:rolleyes: x
I used these guys and got both my PPI and credit card charges back. They did charge a fee but i realised that i couldnt be bothered sending all these letters to the bank myself. It was money for nothing really...0 -

I dont understand why they wont let you cancel the PPI as if it does not cover self employment then you are paying for something that is useless0 -
Hi Andy 79,
Front loading the PPI (which is what it sounds like Lloyds have done) was frowned upon by the FSA during their review on the selling of PPI policies the details of their findings are listed on this thread with a link, I have tried to find it but without success, perhaps someone else may be able to help. I paid off my loan and the reclaiming thus far has been fairly stress free, just at the stage now where the broker and the lender fight it out to see who gives it back!!
Good luck0 -

Hi Andy,
Send your letter off definately,
We paid our loan off with first plus and it had 12,000:shocked: front loaded PPI.
I have sent letters to broker for mis-selling and FP for unfair rebate
Just waiting to hear back now
Im not sure about you paying the loan off?
Im sure that you should be able to cancel the PPI the lender must offer a loan of a similar rate etc? Can anyone advise ?
Just found this on FSA website
We have now concluded our work on refund terms. The agreement reached with a number of trade associations means that firms should:
treat their customers fairly if they need to reissue the associated loan in order to cancel the PPI;

Hoping someone can help. I've just been speaking to my sis in law, and she took out a loan 4 years ago with LTSB to refinance a credit card she had with them. They also added ppi which as far as I can tell was added in a single premium at the start and cost £3k plus interest,
She knew the ppi was being added, but, the reason she took it out was because she was told that it would mean her children didn't get stuck paying it if anything happened to her! She isn't a homeowner, and would have no estate whatsover, so this just made me a bit mad!
Does anyone know if this is a valid reason for reclaiming and if so what I should be saying in the letter - i will need to do this for her as she's not very financially savvy and quite scared of banks.
thanks in advance0 -
Sent my letters off this morning.
1 for an Alliance & Leicester loan and 1 for a Capital One credit card.
Will post any updates.:beer:0
