    Hi
WE could debate this over and over but the broker rarely arranges ppi. They advise you to have it but the lender arranges it. The real point is that ppi is only one issue. Yes I totally agree that the policies are, in the main, not worth the paper they are written on and yes they were mis-sold BUT this is not the only issue. There are many and quite often the borrower will be due back far more than just a ppi premium.

Oh yes, these other issues that only you know about, that would be dangerous in the public domain, that only people who come to your company, which you tout on here via PM can use.

Exploiting MSE for your personal gain is not what this website was started for IMO.

hi wonder if anyone can help i`ve reclaimed my credit card charges with no trouble at all awaiting the bank charges. but stuck on PPI.

started with first letter to GE money on 6th jan 2008
I`m self employed and was not ask re status
    You`ve been fined
    Etc etc
Responded with sorry unhappy will investigate.

    Second letter

    Reply:
BOG off policy purchased before 14th january 2005 and told me to contact the FOS.

Tried again now 4th feb and ask them to look at it again. No joy

Contacted the FOS filled in the form

    Letter back 13th march2008:-
My complaint against GE Capital bank relates to events occurring on 15th June 2003
As GE were not members of GISC at the time of the advice the FOS is unable to consider it.

I rang them FOS today and really they didnt tell me anything at all.

Is there anyone that could maybe tell me what to do next or is that it and i have to give up?
The other links for using are only if you havent contacted the FOS

    Thank you

    Hi,#
Contacted paragon about ppi, they said that the broker set this up, and as far as they were concerned that was the end of it. Is this correct, and do I need to contact the broker on this on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Getting fed up with GE's curt responses of 'no' but has anyone actually had any success with the FLA as they were useless at trying to sort out my card charges with GE and I had to take them to court - will I have to do the same again?

Anyone had positive experience with FLA?

threats of litigation is the only thing that lenders really react to. FLA, FSA, FOS, they are all the same. The only thing that guarantees a reasonable result is to be able to threaten court action. It galvanizes them. However, you really do need to know what you are doing or find the ethical professional.

forget the broker. Paragon are responsible for arranging the cover. It is they that are responsible for any redress.
