Hi i had a claim success but the interest was woefully short, do i have a claim to be made on the interest lol!

Basically the £485 returned from a loan i had 6 years ago would mean around £220 interest (based on the £485 not being in my account for the last 6 years @ 8% interest) but Lloyds have only given £84 and told me how it works out but i cannot understand it. Does anyone think this makes sense and the figure should be around £220? Thanks.

Just been looking at my 'agreement' from Lloyds - all details are written in and I have signed it but the box for the ppi has been printed with an 'x' and not filled in at same time as the rest.
Is it worthwhile pursuing? Am sure I was not talked to about this but don't have any 'proof'.

I think you have two options here as i don't think they will budge on this. Take them to court for £156 or accept the offer. I don't really think i could give any advice on this. You could write a letter back saying that you accept the offer of £84 but without prejudice you will be seeking the remaining amount through court.

Them automatically printing the box with an X removes all choice from the equation so therefore yes you have a case as cleary you weren't given a choice.

When you send them a letter next (registered) include a copy of the agreement and highlight the box with the printed X to show that the choice had been removed and therefore you're weren't given the option at the time.

You can get loan protection insurance from many places just type in loan protection insurance in google and you'll find a few and then its a matter of finding the one you like. Unfortunately thats all i can advise. I have one protecting my mortgage with zurich which for me and my wife is about £25 a month for 25 years but there are probably better ones out there.
