Hi
I have just watched GMTV and decided to put a claim in for mis-sold PLP is this the same as PPI. My loan goes back to 2000 and we have already paid it off. I still have all the relevent information as we did try to claim before but we got nowhere. My loan was front loaded with the insurance of 3,165.83 so I was actually paying interest on the loan as well. When we tried to claim before we were told that it was up to us to read the PLP paper work.
Please help!!0 -
I am in the process of trying to claim back my PPI from E-loans (the Broker) as Paragon who the loans is with after E-laons found them from after applying on their website. I took the loan out in 2004.
I sent my first letter 4 weeks ago and heard nothing, sent my second letter, nothing. I called them today on their direct number and get this; they do not have one bit of information on me at all even though I have all the paper work to prove that I went through them. The girl on the phone said “we don’t have any details”. This would explain the reason they have not responded.
What do I do now? If they can find me or have any details how am I going to get any closer to getting my claim sorted?
Can someone help me?

ive just seen martin on GMTV about PPI.
following this i decided to check out my secured loan. i remember that i DEFINATELY declined the PPI on offer as my partner is self employed so it wouldnt cover him. our agreement that we have signed clearly states on it that i have declined the PPI HOWEVER!!!!
we have had the loan just over 12 months and have just sold our house so will be clearing the loan. i phoned to obtain a redemption figure which is only £400 less than the amount we borrowed. i could not get any summs to add up, so hit the small print, according to my small print the redemption figure should be about £1200 less. after checking my partners bank statements i noticed we are paying £250.38 per month. On our agreement it states our monthly payments are £225.
i have phoned the lender who stated that PPI HAS been added onto our loan (which is why my figures didnt add up). i have asked them what can be done and the manager did not know. She just said she needs to get my file from an 'off shore' sight and see the actual agreement, a faxed copy is not acceptable.
does anybody know where i stand????
cos basically i have PPI on a loan but my documents show PPI was declined!!
so i have overpaid roughly £300 on last years PPI plus what ever interest has been charged on the loan including the PPI (hope this makes sense!)
any advice would be greatly appreciated

Good Luck with First Direct. I took a secured loan out in November 05 for £60,000 and have nearly £15,000 compulsory PPI to payback. My husband is self-employed and the main person on the account, so I'm going to try to get my money back too!0

I'd say you have a pretty watertight case for ppi reclaiming. As you can proved you declined it, yet they added it regardless.
Use the template letters on this site to write to them and ask for your money back.

Hi I am ready to go with 3 claims and have been reading up but I still need a little help with the following:
My 2 cards are with Citi financial - however i originally took the cards out with the associates and dont know if this was a take over or a buy out - does this affect the claim? I am going to start with Citi as I dont have the agreement.
If I need the agreement - how do I get it and is there a cost?
In terms of interest do I calculate the interest based on the staturoty interest calc as with the bank charges?
I have 6 year of statements and there is a carried forward balance on there what do I do about this - can I go further back than 6 years? if so how will I get this information as I am lead to believe that they can only provide 6 years of statements for me?
I also have a claim with black horse who are the financers for DFS - Do I go to DFS the people who forced the insurance or balck horse?
finally does anyone have any tips or experience yet with any of these companies?
thanks0 -
