Holy hell! I would have thrown him out of my house the moment he asked for a man to make the decision. I mean what a sexist PIG!!! Don't worry about the scratch thing though, he can't clain for it. Cats are free spirits and it won't hold up in a court. He's just pushing his luck and trying to get money out of you because he wasnt going to get money from doing your drive work. If he tries anything I suggest asking your husband to give him a piece of his mind.
