Use Google with terms like Moneysavingexpert "On the Beach" to get some opinions... and be very careful to check whether what you are buying is a true package or simply separate purchases of flights and hotels that the company has put together. That makes a big difference to your legal protection.

Icelolly don't sell holidays, they are a classified site where agents advertise so you'll be booking through someone else.

Onthebeach tend to get a lot of complaints. Although they are a big agent. With them it seems if everything's fine then it is fine. It's when things change that their customer service is terrible. Or you book, and they then ring up saying the price has increased.

These sorts of agents don't tend to sell package holidays (like Thomson and Thomas Cook if that's what you're used to). They will book you a flight and then get a hotel and transfers to match. There's nothing wrong with this of course as long as you understand its a slightly different thing.

To be honest youre as well going for the full DIY. Book directly with the airline, then sort the flights and transfers yourself too. Might even save a few more quid.

I've used on the beach a few times with no problems
  • I've used On the beach a few times with no problems except for a transfer back to the airport not turning up but I called a taxi and got there in time.
They are quite competitively priced too
Thanks to all who post here:beer:
