That's one of the funniest threads ever ... on a par with (but entirely different to) the Picolax thread.0

What has skin colour got to do with the name Mohammed?
Also how could they tell your skin colour by way of a phone call? Or even your name based on your accent?
I have a Scottish name but a West Country accent. There's a chinese guy at work with a proper Yorkshire accent. You wouldn't match either of us to our names if you only spoke to us on the phone.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 50 -

I've never seen so many thanks on posts. Up to 208 just on one post, brill.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I had this for almost a year. Around 3 - 6 calls a day (no exaggeration) for a women called Ann Harley. We didn't know and who wasn't the previous who lived in the house. No one lived at the house before her and her family. So after telling them to remove it from their records, we would still get calls every 2nd to 3rd day.
What it is, is Virgin assigning an over-used number (I assume they get this cheaply) and give you it when you setup with them. I called them telling them that if I didn't get a new number. Not a 3rd and 4th hand number but a NEW one, I was leaving them. They coughed up the cost and have been fine ever since0 -
I had this at my old address. Virgin recycled an old number and the woman who had it had a massive debt with British gas, for gas supply. My old place was newbuild and electric only, and wasn't even built when this debt was run up but the call centre staff wouldn't believe me so I just didn't answer their calls (had caller ID) they did give up eventually. I still got voicemails for this woman though asking for her latest British gas reading from an automated line, and from a lady from her church who went on these long diatribes and said she would pray for her. I did also get calls to do with medical appointments and had and told them this woman has changed her number and my address is totally different to hers, guaranteed. Thankfully my new number, with EE seems to be new but I have had a lot of spam calls from EE affiliates and third party companies they sell people's numbers to (lot of complaints on their fb page about this)0
