Can you do a few for me please xTrulyMadly wrote: »You will all be relieved to hear that the glyphosating is finished:o
Twice a year it gets done costing a tenner in total and it stays weed free. We have an over the shoulder spray thing. I got carried away and finished off up the street, along the kerbs and round the lamp posts:rotfl:
I always hum the Ghostbusters tune when I'm using it:D
Who ya gonna call.........?:D
Love the community spirit, spraying the street x
TS, love the dress.
Logie, well done 20 minutes is amazing and I totally understand the extra bit of effort x100 -
I found another 11+ instore today - Heinz Sweet Chilli sauce 260g rtc 49p (other flavours available too - just did this as a test - big display stand in my store with mixed sauces at 49p each). Pay £5.39 for 11 (plus fillers), 98p A v 84p M. APG of £2.24, so £3.15 for 11 bottles, 29p a bottle.
Not free, but excellent value.

Anon
Thanks for this Anon, not noticed in my ex netto but will have a look. Did you see the post from tallulajo about what happens when buying an 11+ on a multi? I think that's what she meant. If we ate the Doritos dips I posted about earlier which are on a multi, I would have tried it out on that. Just wondered what your thoughts are on it. TIAThinking aloud here.. If we know the rtc items get recognised at full price on a apg.. On old system if we buy 11+ I wonder if anyone has bought any multi buys and 11+ of each.. It doesn't recognise the multi buy?? Like the baby food once did?? Would be good returns on many multi buys if it did :happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -

Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Thanks for the messages
Feel better after a bath. Hopefully won't be too achy tomorrow

If this was me, I would figure out what is a living wage for a man/woman to raise the average number of children without being dependent on benefits and then divide this by 37 hours..... then the state is not supporting or subsiding my employees!
Evening
Goodness  I think most people would struggle to employ a cleaner for 37 hours!
If it helps you nearlysorted........My cleaner works (circa) 12 hors a week here over 3 days and she works 4 hours elsewhere. working 16 hours means she can claim tax credits. She's quite happy to spend one of her days doing just ironing(the amount varies) as does whatever else she does. I'm very flexible with regards to days/hours/what needs doing and I find that has worked in my favour as she is too. I do pay her more than the going rate but she truly has gone above and beyond on occasions.....taking on school runs and babysitting amongst other things.
I'd say if you can realistically afford it.....go for it! Life is too short to spend it doing stuff you really don't want to be doing......that's just my take on things.
If you can get the right person and build a good relationship with them, it can work out really well. Good luck whatever you decide.0 -
