You will all be relieved to hear that the glyphosating is finished:o

Twice a year it gets done costing a tenner in total and it stays weed free. We have an over the shoulder spray thing. I got carried away and finished off up the street, along the kerbs and round the lamp posts:rotfl:

I always hum the Ghostbusters tune when I'm using it:D

    Who ya gonna call.........?:D

Where do you buy the glyphosate from please TM?

I am out of practice at whoopsie time. Everybody went for the top baskets of fruit and veg, I went down below getting some blueberries and nectarines, didn't even notice the 2 boxes of mangoes for 90p until 2 other people got their hands on them, I could have easily picked one up if I had realised what it was. :o

Still managed to get a whole chicken and a fish pie mix for £1.40 each and the £1 came off the for the multibuy. :T Never actually bought the fish pie mix before is that all you can use if for?

Got some lovely whoopsied flowers think might visit the place I always avoid to say thank you to my parents for my party, it was really on them. :A

If the time feels right, then go. It can be quite therapeutic :A

House Elf may I ask what washing gloop is? Is it for washing clothes? What's it made from? Just curious :)

    I make 16 litres at a time!

    You will need:
A large bucket capable of holding about 16 litres, with a good fitting lid (or a few smaller tubs) to store gloop
    A big pan
1 bar unscented white soap - something like Simple or an own-brand sensitive skin soap – TESCO 15p bar is good
1 cup washing soda crystals - usually on the cleaning aisle of the supermarket
    4 litres hot water
Optional:- About 20 drops of a suitable essential oil. (I don't bother, but add a dose of handwash or Radox for a bit of a boost!).
    To Make
Put the water in the pot and bring to the boil. Grate the soap and once the water has boiled, add the soap and turn the heat down. Stir until all the soap has dissolved. Take off the heat and add the soda crystals stirring until they have dissolved as well. Leave to cool until you can safely handle it, then decant into your tub(s) and add essential oils. (Sets like blancmange).
    To use
Use about 3 tablespoons for each load.
You can add a dose of Vanish for whites if things get a little grey – this will brighten things up again.
    CAUTION
To avoid problems with the gloop and machine blockages:- It is HIGHLY recommended that you put the gloop directly into the drum not the drawer. If the gloop sets hard, chop it into small pieces so that it melts easier. (Adding a ½ a cup distilled white vinegar to the final rinse will also help prevent any problems).
